No they wouldn't. Republicans only whine about bias to make up for their own crappiness and lack of results. They would have reacted exactly the same way to Bush. Hello, that's what president's do - attend fundraisers and raise money.

Governor Sarah Palin must beat Barack Obama in 2012 because of her superior conservative right wing philosophy in that she is pro God and Christianity, pro life, pro marriage; pro guns-second amendment, pro low taxes, pro low government spending; pro small government, pro unintrusive government, pro traditional and Judeo Christian values; pro Bible reading and prayer in our public schools, pro Christians schools and private education , pro private and free enterprise; pro military spending, anti arms agreements with Russia, pro creation; pro nuclear, pro conservative supreme court judges, pro American sovereignty; pro capitalism, anti communist, anti socialist; conservative on immigration, and pro constitution. Barack Obama are of the inferior liberal and left wing ideology in that he is against every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is for and he is for every thing that Governor Sarah Palin is against. Governor Sarah Palin will be the gretest President we will have ever had from 01/20/13 to 01/20/21

Certainly the likes of MSNBC, ABC, CNN wouldn't possibly cover ANYTHING that would make "our" Favorite Jr Senator look bad.

Did ANYBODY catch the C-Span interview where Obama freely admitted "the us IS out of money" ?

I applaud you Ms. Cary for pointing this out but I'm afraid too many Americans don't bother to read USNews or any other possible "balanced" source of news.

As far as California "causing their own problem", how exactly did they do that?

Spending above AND beyond what the taxpayers could (would) afford on a regular basis.

Sound Familiar? MR OBAMA!

Couldn't hear you noisy Americans, too busy getting my "rubber stamps" re-elected.

Guess WE have to be LOUDER. TeaParties on July 4th and the BIG one in Washington on Sept 12th.

Thousands parked in the Whit House front yard might be harder to "Be unaware of".

Schwarzenegger, Obams, Pelosi, Boxer, Fienstein, Biden (Lunchbox Joe), Reid, Shumer - soooo many to chose from.

I agree California is in terrible shape-- but isn't so much of it California's own doing? Is it really Obama's responsibility now to save California? How about Detroit? Ohio?

I disagree about the media. I don't recall them EVER painting Bush as an elite or out of touch. In fact far too many people had a vision of him as a brush clearing working man-- which was a complete fabrication that the media played along with, when in fact he comes from an elite family going back generations.

Just because Obama raises money for the democrats does not make him elitist.

A year or so ago, US News ran a special issue on leadership. One article focused on a survey asking people to indicate their degree of trust for various individuals, clergy, firefighters, politicians, etc. The survey results showed journalists or the news media as being at the bottom of the list.

The lack of outrage, or even response, is one example of why the news journalists rated so low in general.

We, the members of the public, realize very clearly that the majority of journalists see their role not as giving us the news--relaying facts--so that we can make informed decisions. Rather, they see it as their role to shape the thinking of their readers to match their own personal biases. So we read with a lot of skepticism. Or we don't read at all. (Perhaps the loss of readership experienced by the news media can't all be attributed to technology and access to other news sources.)

Most of us are willing to read even editorial viewpoints that disagree with our own, provided they are factual and present a clear and cogent argument. Often our own viewpoints change because of well stated arguments. But the ranting and name calling that permeate many editorial pieces, and the omissions of stories that we need to hear, do more harm than good, to our society as well as the reputation of the media.

You ask a good question Mary Kate Cary. Where is the outrage?

Well why not. After all he is the new elite and the rest of us are just the tax paying public, not worth his time.. When he has all the wealth in his corner then he can declare himself KING. And the press helped him get where he is at!!
