The president likes to contradict himself all the time he is not my president I will not claim him as my president until he can back down on his belief that it is ok to do embryonic stem cell research, because it helps others with juvenile diabetes and the sort. We all have our illnesses we take up the cross of this illness for the good of our Lord Jesus Christ as he bore our sins for us. We do not say it ok to do a wrong to try to make someone better, there is no common ground on the act of embyonic stem cell research and abortion are just sins of selfishness. If the mothers didn't have a choice to abort their babies, maybe they would sacrifice the pleasure next time of having sex when they are not ready to have a child and pass this along to younger men and women going through the struggles of abstaining from sex. Sex is to be between a man and a women in the sacrament of marriage, that is it final no questions. Others say that whoa to Bush because he wasn't able to stop these things, but I say whoa to those who feel this way, for if Bush who is for human life had trouble in ending these things, than how much do you think will get done with someone in the Presidency will have that doesn't support the dignity of human life. So I will pray for Obama and this nation that they will come to their senses and stop the selfishness, and do good for their neighbor as The Son of God Himself has commanded us.

First, most know that President Obama told Planned Parenthood that he would sign the Freedom Of Choice Act (FOCA) when he came into office. This act negates conscience privileges for health personnel and hospitals to opt out of these procedures, forces taxpayers to pay for abortions, nulls all laws that states passed to help reduce abortions and to provide for safety, etc.

What I am so pleased about the president’s speech at Notre Dame is that he said:

“So let us work together to reduce the number of women seeking abortions, let's reduce unintended pregnancies. Let's make adoption more available. Let's provide care and support for women who do carry their children to term. Let's honor the conscience of those who disagree with abortion, and draft a sensible conscience clause, and make sure that all of our health care policies are grounded not only in sound science, but also in clear ethics, as well as respect for the equality of women." Those are things we can do.”

Well, I want him and all of you who voted for him not to FORGET he said this. This means that he will not sign FOCA if it comes across his desk. That when somone sponsor a bill on helping women with unplanned pregnancies, but want to have their child, he will sign it. Should he go back on his word, I would have no choice but to believe his words are meaningless.

Therefore, it will be our job to remind him and those who make laws to take this act off the table. Many pointed out this speech was a great reconciliation speech – not if it is just lies to placate us.

He may give a good speech, but the most important part - about abortion - is dishonest. Please read the FOCA! He is so on the left. Words are meaningless when he doesn't back them up!

And that part with the pro-life doctor. He just decided to change WORDS. Just like pro-choice or reproductive health is another way of saying ABORTION. This part sounded so cold and devious. I don't understand while other reasonable people didn't catch this.

As a living and breathing octogenarian with all his faculties in good working order I would like to commend Mary Kate Cary for the well written commentary about our President's Commencement Speech. However the comments

by R. Reece just show how faulty his thinking is.He seems to be a first class Bigot. I am constantly amazed by the

stupidity expressed by the younger generations. Our President has the potential of being the best since the time of Roosevelt Truman and Eisenhower.I do not agree with a number of his positions but he is our President. May God Bless him.

A "culture war", not even close! It is the personal choice to believe in your belief system which is being challenged. The new child of entitlement has a long way to go before he can claim prayer as his domain. After all this is the man who sat in his church and listened to his church leader "damn America" and did nothing but continue to show up and support his church. I personally am amazed that he can hold his head up and claim to know god. He has proven that he holds no loyalty and sheds ANYTHING which is not in step with his current goal. The great deceiver is in the house!
