Regrettably, that is the job. Not that a good man necessarily couldn't do it, but this one couldn't. Politics is really something.

Condolences to his family and friends. He was a good influence on me.

Jack Kemp was my congressman when I was a child. My parents dropped me off one day so I could meet him at the local fire hall and he took the time to sit across from me (I was maybe 12 or 13 at the time) and listen. He wrote out a card to me that I still have--looks almost new.

Jack Kemp will be greatly missed. Our country needs his common sense approach to problem solving. He was well respected by Republicans and Democrats. God Bless Jack Kemp.

Jack Kemp will be greatly missed. Our country needs his common sense approach to problem solving. He was well respected by both Republicans and Democrats. God Bless Jack Kemp.
