Jay Leno Wins on Tonight Show, But Obama and His Special Olympics Joke Flop

This is simply the Obama 1/2 of the country knew he was. Take away teleprompters and the adoring media that put him in office (along with taking away some expensive fancy suits) and what we have is the TRUTH...an experienced, far left, clueless, typical slick politician from corrupt Chicago politics. The only "change" we shall get is the stuff that will bury our children and their children in debt for decades. And the nationalization of banks, etc, will bury all of us. Politicians can't handle themselves, much less handle the markets, healthcare, etc. How stupid we were in November and how dumb shall we continue to be. Obama should be on Leno and Letterman...just NOT in the Oval Office. Bush was not very good, but O makes W look like a brain surgeon!

Thank you "Pigs Led to Slaughter" and "Get Back on Track" for the honesty and stark reality in your comments. It's about time we get our heads out of the sand and face up to this fantasy president that the Dem's and phony media types have been feeding us. (btw - I'm a democrat) While I didn't vote for Obama I was certainly willing to accept him as my president and had high hopes he could make a difference, on many levels. Yet here we have another blunder from him, first in his choices of high-ranking coherts, and again in his words. (remember "white mans greed runs a world in need" comment?) Obama appearing on Jay Leno does not make the common citizen relate to him better. As president, he has more important things to concentrate on for us all.

While I don't believe his intention was to slam the Special Olympics, it was, nonetheless, a thoughtless comment from a bi-racial man who claims to understand the hurt caused by stupid and senseless words from others. It appears his true colors are beginning to show.

I also find it ironic that when our (half black) president makes an inappropriate comment (no matter how innocent it may be) clearly targeting a specific group of people, the phony media types and blinded citizens are so quick to dismiss it and so willing to give him a break. He is supposed to be an incredibly intelligent idividual on multiple levels - that is why he is president, right? But, let anyone else (whites) make a remotely off-handed comment or joke about a specific group of people (blacks) and it suddenly becomes a national crisis, is all over the media, the Sharpton jack-a$$ jumps on the wagon and the idiots who blindly follow him, and society as a whole should apologize for the decades of slavery, etc. What a double-standard that is!!! Remember the recent comic strip in a popular newspaper that drew so much attention and demanded someone's head on a platter??? That comic was slamming a group of politicians who, by the way, are mostly white! Yet there was so much debate and analyzing about the hidden meaning and the black community was outraged. I wonder if the black community is outraged by Obama slamming the disabled?

Our president didn't run for office... he is a puppet and there are other powers who catapulted/manufactured him to gain votes from the masses - and it worked. History will show us this. Unfortunately, they forgot to connect the string that controls his mouth.

#1. he shouldve been on Letterman not LENO.

#2. no one will even remember what he said and didnt say in a week, because by then, there will be something BETTER to YAP about at the water cooler, people forget/are distracted really quickly, kind of like happy puppy dogs.

You are so off base. Obama has the most honor, dignity and accountability than any other president in the past two decades. He has already done a number of his election promises. Your ignorance of reality shows through in your inane comments.

s.Carlson 5:25PM March 21, 2009

PLEASE!!!!! I am so tired of the ignorant nonsense that comes out of his mouth. He hasn't had an original thought since birth, refuses to accept responsibility for anything, and only when caught in an obvious blunder does he apologize. How transparent can one be?

He is ego driven, lives in a fantasy world and has been boosted to his current position by the financial backing of those in the media and entertainment business. No wonder he shows up on the Leno show. I hope we tax payers did not pay for his travel expenses.

He is ill equipped to deal with the day-to-day business of the oval office, opting to continue on a self-elevating campaign in the media spot light. He wouldn’t have qualified for an upper management job at Wal Mart and we are, regrettably, stuck with him for 4 years. Even though OJT is not preferable we should be able to expect a more serious attempt in the undertaking of his responsibilities. We realize that as a “Junior” senator he has little to no experience, but he will not gain the knowledge required to occupy this nations highest position by running around “Glad Handing” with the entertainment community.

Americans do not need another FRAUD in office. If “CHANGE” is to be accomplished we need to have honor, dignity and accountability from the position, which he currently occupies. No longer do we want to hear it was the fault of another party when we who understand the business of government know it was all parties in the government who failed this country. The campaign is over it is time to lose the tired, untruthful rhetoric It is time to stop wasting our time with the ridiculous blame game and, time to stop under estimating the intelligence of the American voters.

It is a serious period in the history of this country. Smiling and trying to be clever on nation wide television is NOT what we need. If he wants to bring credibility to his statements about understanding and empathizing with the financial difficulties we face in the country he needs to take his job more seriously and begin the task of learning from senior statesmen.

It's time for him to grow up and quit trying to be voted “Sexiest Man of the Year” in People magazine. Stop trying to emulate great leaders by attempting to copy their speech patterns. He is no Martin Luther King, not remotely in the league of John F. Kennedy, or western civilization’s version of Gandhi.

He needs to develop a personality instead of his poor imitation of others. Make some modicum attempt to display a more mature and dignified manner. Decide whether he wants the responsibility as our President or, a job in the entertainment industry. More importantly, if he is serious, he needs to strive to overcome the obvious shortcomings of his experience and personality and go about the business for which Americans have placed their trust. We are owed nothing less.

Dear DixieFlatline,

For the record, I would like to know whether you are comparing Barack Obama to Adolf Hitler. Please explain.

Sincerely,

Todd

Todd, based on your logic, Romans 13 also applies to Chairman Mao, Stalin and Adolf Hitler? then.

Seems to me, the only test you apply to Romans 13, is whether or not one has power. Not whether or not they use it legitimately, morally, legally, ethically.

Governments in the 20th century, have killed over 175 million OF THEIR OWN CONSTITUENTS, more than all religions through time combined.

I do not believe this is the work of God. Every time an Afghan or Iraqi child is killed, this is not the work of God, and certainly not the work of God through his agent Obama or the US military.

The ten commandments clearly lay out, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal. Seems to me, government are constantly violating God's law.

Go sell crazy somewhere else please.

DixieFlatline 3:11PM March 21, 2009

Everyone must submit themselves to the governing authorities, for there is no auhority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God (Romans Chapter 13, verse 1).

The Apostle Paul, in the Bible, is writing that we must submit ourselves to governmental leaders, because they have been established by God Almighty.

You said: "I don't have a president".

Um, yes you do. You have a responsibility regarding him (I Timothy 2:1-2.)

You said: "Obama is not *my* president. He is certainly *not* my Commander-in-Chief."

Um, yes he is, and um, yes he is.

You said "He is not *your* President."

Um, yes he is. I recognize him as President of the United States. He is Commander-in-Chief. God Almighty has put Barack Obama in power. God Almighty has seen to it that Obama is our President. God has directed you to pray for him and honor him (See I Timothy 2:1-2 and I Peter 2:17).

You said: "No president past, present, or future is *your* president. Last I checked, we are not born into this world shackled in chains. We are born free with no master and no "president" to lord over us."

Um, last time I checked, it is *God* who puts leaders in power, it is *He* who has put governmental authorities in power. You should pray for men and women in government. You should honor them. (again, I Timothy 2:1-2, I Peter 2:17.)

You said: "He is the top executive official of the federal government. Nothing more. He isn't your master and he isn't your leader. The fact that many Americans believes that Obama (or any other president) is our national messiah/leader (or as the Germans might say, our Fuhrer) just shows how far we have fallen as a civilization and how very doomed individual liberty is."

Again: *God Almightly* has put this person in power. Honor him and pray for him (again, I Timothy 2:1-2, I Peter 2:17).

Do not ignore Scripture, my friend.

The authorities that exist have been established by God (Romans 13:1).
