Republicans Cannot Simply Say "No," Despite What Bill Kristol Thinks

Carbon Dioxide (CO2) is not a pollutant. Plants consume 75 billion tons of CO2 annually. Mankind produces only 3 billion tons of CO2 annually. Where do the other 72 billon tons come from? Natural sources including oceans that contain 39,000 billion tons of CO2.

Commercial greenhouses add CO2 inside the greenhouses because it helps plants grow.

I sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to EPA asking for evidence that CO2 is harmful to Planet Earth and the driver of climate change. EPA answered but provided no evidence because none exists.

I'm doing my darnedest to get hit by the AMT in 2010. That'll mean my gross income has quadrupled and my disretionary income will have more than doubled AFTER taxes! In the meantime, I'm hoping the GOP stays marginalized by listening to the non-ideas of Mitch McConnell and continuing to espouse the economic philosophies and applications of Phil Gramm. Under that plan, the only way they'll muster another majority is wherever and whenever alot of wealthy folks and those who live in fear reside and choose to follow.

Anyone have a data driven study showing where the US middle class has grown wealthier during a Republican administration over the last 50 years? For the record, even the wealthiest United Statians do better during Democratic administrations than during Republican administrations.

Just keep ranting and raving. As long as you stay in the minority, I can live (much better) with that!

What kind of half-ass school gave you a degree? This isn’t journalism it’s propaganda! Don’t you feel guilty collecting a paycheck for this garbage? Do me a favor and send me copies of all your articles – I’ll save money on toilet paper.

to oppose Obama with every vote and argument that it can muster, if only to highlite the damage that his policies will produce. But in the mid-term, the GOP needs desperately to articulate a vision that is both practical AND inspiring, and it needs to find electable, compelling voices to articulate that vision. Otherwise, the U.S. of 2018 will look much like the Venezuela of 2008.

Repubs, stop lying, exaggerating, misleading, complaining, whining, name-calling, and being Rush-zombies. Just convince us that you really care more about US than your party or your jobs. Case in point: Why would you want your Reopub govs to refuse the stimulus money when it can help your state, aka, we, the people? DO you care about us?

The GOP has been the party of class warfare for several decades now. Too bad they lost the election, but they did. More fairness to come under the Obama administration, so expect the GOP to kick, stomp, turn blue in the face, and soil their diapers. It was inevitable. It all boils down to well they'll be able to spin/lie their agenda in order to convince the independent voters. If people simply voted their pocketbook, the GOP would have been crushed long ago. They've succeeded because they're the sharpest liars on the block. Just watch how they'll try to crush Universal Health Care. Just watch.

The Republicans printed a trillion dollars over the last eight years to line the rich peoples' pockets. When will anyone get this right?

The way for Republicans to be more than the party of No is for the liberal media to occassionally listen to their alternative to the plan to which they are saying No. Republicans say No to Socialism and Yes to Freedom. No to Nanny State and Yes to Personal Accountability. No to Thoughtless Regulation and Yes to THOUGHTFUL regulation. Muser - you really need to look up the actual Congressional records to see who voted for No Regulation! Can you say Barny Frank? Can you say Democrats? Ultimately, the dems try to legislate "good will" whereas most Republicans practice that in their daily lives, not because it's the law but because it's the right thing to do. But, never, NEVER, expect ANYONE to help anyone that isn't even willing to PRETEND to be helping themselves. At some point the people in this country who actually take care of themselves are going to fight back. I can't wait for that day - it's coming soon....The wealth gap in this nation primarily exists due to decisions and choices different individuals have made. In this country we all have the same Unalienable rights - life, liberty and the PURSUIT of happiness. None of us have an Unalienable Guarantee of Outcome...You don't have the right to sit on your ass and wait for others to take care of you. The GOP is alive and well and we're not "there" - we're HERE. Make no mistake - we're all tired of dealing with the Lib Lies - The GOP message is what it's always been - LESS GOVERNMENT - MORE LIBERTY.

Spending what you don't have doesn't work... Or haven't you noticed?

Removing the "risk" from "rewards" and "rewarding" failure means a socialist nanny state.

Stealing money from a lender by reducing the amount of principle owed is straight out of "Das Capital". Read Karl's book.

Pursuing environmental dogma like "cap and trade" and a "Green Society" in the midst of a world wide economic meltdown is insane (sorry, I couldn't think of a nicer, less judgmental, more inclusive word...nuts, crazy, hair-brained, goofy, lunacy, deranged, feebleminded, madness... - perhaps I should get a larger thesaurus?)

Not drilling for more oil - offshore, Alaska, wherever -is irresponsible. Windmills and solar are pie in the sky. More nuclear, coal and oil - now. More co2 might prevent the next ice age (though I doubt it). Which would you rather sit under, a palm tree or a glacier?

An unborn baby is human and deserving of civil rights - Not murder by the irresponsible couple seeking a convenient resolution for their lack of integrity and self discipline. The country needs to find its collective spine again.

Tell the gay lobby to enjoy their lifestyle, but don't change the legal and traditional meaning of marriage. Find or make up your own word for your institution.

Environmentalism has morphed into a dogmatic, intolerant State Religion... Remind the the progressives of their great support for the "separation of church and state".

Lowered, not increased capital gains taxes. As our economy collapses, we might actually want to increase incentives to invest - not punish investment...just a thought.

Don't appoint judges who want to distort and subvert the Constitution. You want a brave new, progressive, socialist world"? Then amend the Constitution - That's the way the game is supposed to be played.

Okay, I'm getting cranky - After my milk and cookies I'm taking a nap.

As a lower-middle-class person, my tax burden is about to go up - not because taxes were raised (yet) but because tax cuts "for the wealthy" are going away. For someone who receives $43k BEFORE taxes, that's really going hurt. I don't consider myself "wealthy", and I resent being told by liberals that only the "wealthy" are being taxed.

People like "Muser" of NM are really ticking me off. It helped me a lot to have those tax cuts, and I plowed most of it right back into the economy. Deregulation has done me a ton of good and brought the price of a lot of things down so I had more disposable income. Now he wants to regulate again, add more government, and tax me even more.

The government is vacuuming up my money, not the "rich". It's MY job that's going away as companies close and move offshore - the rich don't need the jobs. It's MY tax money that will foot this welfare state as companies and the rich leave the US for greener pastures.

HELP!!
