White House Media Don't Have the Likes of Sam Donaldson Anymore

I’ll be brief here, even if I could write an article on it.

It is no mystery Sam Donaldson, Dan Rather, and the best of the group, old Walter Chronkite spent a lifetime slanting the news to the left, as they call it. Uncle Walter takes the lead, slowly brainwashing the American public during the Vietnam Conflict as to how despicable we Americans were with the “poor Vietnamese people. The fact it was really a disaster to send our troops there, and not to anyone’s advantage, since everyone knows South Vietnam was a U.S. controlled puppet government, and the average Vietnamese couldn’t give a hoot about voting booths or American hot dogs. They just wanted to live in peace.

Having said that, Americans do not know how people’s opinions are slanted one way or another by these so-called “reporters” they see and listen to every day. The average American is ignorant and not too knowledgeable about life outside their all-American lifestyles. They get their information from those few minutes of TV watching.

It is a red letter day for journalism now that "The Whitehouse Don't Have The Likes of Sam Donaldson Anymore."

As a Texas school girl, I learned about "yellow journalism." I never really realized what an evil deed it truly is until I sat down to hear what my fellow Texan, Sam Donaldson (from El Paso), had to say during a CSPAN appearance on April 23, 2009, I believe it was. The format allowed impressionable students from various college campuses to ask Mr. Donaldson and another female journalist questions. (I think the lady that appeared with him may have been Helen Thomas, I don't know.)

But I heard him tell two of the most bold faced lies I have ever heard in my entire life. I don't remember what the question was, but his answer was as follows, and I quote, "...when it was announced to Texas school children that JFK has been assasinated, they cheered. You see, they had heard their parents voice their hatred of JFK at home. Just like the tea parties, that were organized as an outlet for Republicans to express their hatred for Obama."

I was a young Texas mother when it was announced to Texans that John F. Kennedy had been assasinated in Dallas. The whole of Texas mourned. Children and adults wept openly in the streets and in schools and churches all over Texas. We mourned for months on end. Texas loved JFK, Republicans and Democrats alike. They loved his youth, his enthusiasm. They loved having a young family in the Whitehouse. I know this, because I was there, and I saw it for myself.

As for the "Tea Parties." People from every walk of life....from every ethnic group (black, white, Spanish, Asian, etc. etc.) from every socio-economic background, from every religious persuasion, and from both the Republican and Democratic parties attended the Tea Parties. The one theme that they all expressed was their disapproval of the run-away spending of the Congress and this administration. There was no hate of any kind expressed by anyone. I know this, because I was there and I saw it for myself.

Sam Donaldson has probably spent his entire career slanting and distorting the news to fit his own personal Liberal agenda. He is a "hate monger" in every since of the word. I personally do not know how the man can sleep at night.

The world is a better place without Sam Donaldson spreading his mean spirited, hate-filled opinions.

GOOD RIDDANCE, Mr. Donaldson.

Fascinating. I work @ DC's CBS affiliate. The last guy I saw use a typewriter and paper prompter was sportscaster Glenn Brenner. Best there ever was, but his subject matter wasn't anywhere near as serious as Donaldson's...but he always got it right first time, too.

Quite a gift...considering I just re-wrote part of this!

John F.K. Malone of DC 6:00PM February 17, 2009

Well, I'm sure Helen Thomas is relieved.
