President Barack Obama Masters the New Online Media

The history books will undoubtedly have to make something of what Obama's web communications have meant-- but can these releases and infobytes survive the ephemerality inherent, not only in these media, but in the messages as well?

FDR was a great communicator, and had many things worth saying and remembering: but his Fireside Chats, though still an interesting read, don't exactly hold up as artifacts to Lincoln's literary musings.

For all that Obama currently means as a phenomenon for his followers and the nation as a whole, it remains to be seen just how memorable his words will prove. Some of his most anticipated addresses, like the Inaugural and his Denver Convention speech, haven't yielded anything we're remembering, even now.
