Debating Daylight Savings Time

DST in March makes little sense in Ohio. The mathematical line between Eastern and Central runs halfway through Ohio (it bisects Columbus), so even on standard time, Ohio has relatively late sunrises and sunsets. I used to enjoy waking to daylight in March and April, but no longer. Now it will dark until 730-745 for at least a month.

Is it really worth sending children to school in utter blackness and feeling miserable from disruptions to circadian rhythms just to keep the golfers appeased?

I prefer to have lighter hours in the morning. Now I have to walk in the dark. After work, where Iam worked like a mule Iam unable to do anything but couch anyway. Leave it alone, let this sleep deprived nation have their 1 hour of sleep. Would like to see this as a proposition. This country needs more sleep.
