All this hogwash criticizing Pelosi misses the fact America voted in a president who ran on a healthcare reform platform.

America is the only wealthy industrialised nation in the world without healthcare for all.

It is the only country I have ever heard of to label Socialism as evil, bad or wrong.

So why do people think Socialism is a bad thing? - They equate it to Communism. Firstly, why is Communism bad? Because it prefers equality to super-rich elites?

That is irrelevant.

Socialism is not Communism. Socialism is simply sharing SOME wealth to make sure that everyone is able to live. It does not take control of everything you earn.

Many people are treating the healthcare reform like some sort of evil plot. It is not. It is a blessing. It is interesting to see that those against the bill (Republicans) have resorted to childish name-calling, whilst those for it continually site benefits.

A good example of the result of the healthcare reform is Britain's NHS. Yes, it is flawed. Yes, it recieves lots of stick in the media. But every day, thousands of people who would otherwise be dying on the streets (as there in America) are being treated and getting back on their feet. Stephen Hawking has said he owes his life to the NHS. In America, would he have survived?

One final thought, particularly for the large number of 'Christian' Americans: Jesus healed the sick. He healed them for free. He said "Do as I do".

Jesus was socialist.

I wish voting for a president was as simple as one issue, one man but decisions are often made on balance. So a rush to equate each presidental vote for each of his initiative would be erroneous. Yet I agree that civility is a better tack then these attack....just let your vote make the news.
