Reassessing "Risky" Foods

All animal-based foods contain cholesterol. No plant-based foods contain cholesterol. Cholesterol coats the lining of your arteries until you get health problems like high cholesterol, erectile dysfunction (which is a symptom, not a disease), high blood pressure, stroke, heart attack, heart disease, and so on. These are all diseases of slow accumulation...and one in three of our country's children already display heart disease's early manifestations. And one in three Americans currently die of heart disease. All animal based foods are risky. Plant based foods are only risky in relation to who sprayed them with toxic chemicals, and who handled them poorly. Grow a garden, and eat locally grown as much as possible. Aside from that, wash your food and buy from a reputable small scale seller.

Actually, some research has shown that there is no definitive correlation between egg safety/contamination and the practices used to raise eggs. However, pasteurized eggs can be used to make runny and raw eggs without the risk of getting sick.
