[Joe Wilson's outburst] sets a bad example for our level of political discourse, not only in our own country, but internationally.

This is what I privately refer to as the Dennis Rodman effect. I am a casual Chicago Bulls fan. Years ago, when the Chicago/Detroit rivalry was in full swing, Dennis Rodman played for the Pistons. He was obnoxious, rude, inappropriate, and a marginally dirty player. Chicago fans hated him. Then, he was traded to the Bulls. I did not like the move, because I did not like Rodman's act and did not want him to be part of the team I followed. The diehard Bulls fans, however, accepted him and cheered him. Now the dirty plays were merely aggressive and hard nosed. The rudeness and inappropriateness were now just "doing what it took to win". It's all a matter of perspective. In the case of Joe Wilson, if you agree with his politics, then you say "You tell 'em, Joe". He's just "doing what it takes to win". If you don't agree with his politics, then his actions were obnoxious, rude, inappropriate, and marginally dirty. However, merely looking at his actions from an unemotional perspective, it's hard to argue that his behavior was not inappropriate.

I wish people would research the facts. There was a provision for Illegal citizens to not be able to get heath care, but it was not clearly defined.

No matter what the dispute is, we are obligated to respect the President of the United States. Americans who support this kind of behavior really need to step back and take a look at themselves.

There are other reasons why Wilson's behavior is unacceptable. We represent the citizens of the United States and people like Wilson should be role models to be looked up to.

I can just imagine what other countries must think of our behavior.

I am ashamed at Americans for the way they have treated Obama. The ugly Tea Party posters are entirely uncalled for. I hope that there is some kind of law that will bring the people to justice for this kind of discrimination against our President.

The faces have been photographed with the posters. I hope that those kind of people are watched closely. Their posters both saddened and scared me. My heart goes out to the Presient's family for the ignorance of Americans.

When the President comes up with a plan that works for all Americans in the Health Care Reform, I'm sure those people will not change their mind about the President, but they will reap the rewards with no remorse.

Shame on disrespectfull people that call themselves American. Their actions do not reflect what American represents.
