I suspect that if a Republican president were to give the exact speech [that Obama gave], we wouldn't hear a peep from these dissenters.

THE SPEECH WAS GREAST. HE NEVER MAKES MISTAKES. I LOOK FORWARD TO VOTING FOR HIM AGAIN. I AM ELDERLY, WHITE AND FEMALE...I LIVE IN FLORIDA!

When have we questioned statements the President of the United State wanted to offer to students. Why would any parent think Obama would give any negative messages to children. If he is viewed properly, most would see him as professional all the time. Our president had a positive speech that most people would relay to his or her child. People against their children listening to the President is sending a message to them not to respect positive statements or suggest to them to only act on his or her views. I personally think it is only due to Obama being "Unique" not anything else. We have listen to other presidents and nothing have ever been said that got any special attention because it was the president. I think Obama is doing a good job and he's trying to make a difference. I think since he is "Our" President we should give him a chance and respect what he is trying to do with that motivational speech! President Obama, I think your message to the children was a very positive and entertaining speech. Great job!!

Why should my 11 year old daughter be forced to watch this speech today? I am an Independent and voted for the guy,but I would not vote for him again.

If I want her to watch him,I will record the speech and play it back for her.

She told me it was very boring, but it was better then Math class!
