This victory, however small, is a significant milestone for Obama. It is an early test of the effectiveness of the command structure and cohesiveness of the president's national security team.

The victory goes to the US Navy. It has nothing to do w/ nobuma. He was busy ditching the situation as he was strategicly planning on his next money-pocket-picking-plan. Since he is clueless on important issues, he knew best not to intervene on such matters.

He had about as much to do with this piracy situation as you or I had.

There are heros in this siutation but he is DEFINITELY NOT one of them.

“I frankly don’t understand all the brouhaha lately from Congress and even from some of my colleagues about referring to foreign law,” Ginsburg said Friday in a symposium honoring her at Ohio State University, The New York Times reports.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg:

Ginsburg says she’s fine with the idea that a U.S. court shouldn’t consider itself bound by the precedent established in international law.

But she’s also fine with the idea that a U.S. court can be influenced by strong reasoning from overseas.

“Why shouldn’t we look to the wisdom of a judge from abroad with at least as much ease as we would read a law review article written by a professor?” she says.

Do the United States Supreme Court Justices need to be told that their jobs is to review and support the United States Constitution? International law does not answer to the people of this country. Where are the check and balance with international law?

Wake up America!
