Our 2 1/2 year old grandson has autism; we all believe caused by vacines. Our son and his wife found a DAN Dr. who believes in supplements and diet restrictions.

Our grandson no longer has stomach aches and is a happy little guy. His language is starting to reappear after five months. Slowly but surely he is coming back to us.

God Bless these doctors who have the guts to stand for what they believe in dispite the eye rolling of the regular pediatricians who say vacines have no cause in autism and that diet does not matter.

Our grandson is being helped.

My husband and I both highly educated and science minded decided to "suspend our disbelief" in what we considered nonsense long enough to try th GFCF diet. (our son had been diagnosed a couple of months previously with PDD NOS shortly after his 3rd birthday and after 6 mths in the New Jersey early intervention program. After 3 days on the diet we were amazed by how dramatic the difference was - he began responding to his name having never turned his head to it before and we realised he had been sleeping through the night. His stools became more solid and he had a presence that wasn't there before - despite early intervention. We also found and treated the candida and clostridia we found some weeks later and that also caused a change - spontaneously coming to us and trying to communicate.

Our son went to a school for children with autism to 2 years prior to kindergarten, was then mainstreamed into a regular class with a pull out programms for langauge arts and Maths and now doesn't need those. He still stuggles with idiomatic language and social skills but this is a boy who didn't get the concept of yes and no (affirmative and negative) till 3 1/2 had regular explosive tantrums and had to be taught to read first in order to speak. Now he's 10 anyone not trained in autism would just think he's a little geeky. He scored advanced proficient in the Maths NJASK tests and scraped profecient in language arts.

No the diet isn't easy but life got so much easier so quickly by doing it we have never looked back.
