Well, if that had been Saddam up there, the man [who threw the shoe] would be shot by now. So, maybe Bush and the United States gave him the right to protest and live to tell about it.

GWB has become quite adept at dodging negativity about Iraq, much of it justified.

But he is finally going out on a positive note by going against his party on the need to keep the auto workers paying taxes especially in this recession/depression with the whole country bankrupt.
