If all the so called financial talking heads were not in the tank for Obama they would either be quiet or at least show that they are not elitist who beleive the American people are so dumb as to not know making loans to low income people who were on welfare and unemployment at the request of the Clinton whitehouse and the congressional black caucus was the single most cause of the melt down if this perceived to be racist so be it but someone has to have the courage to teel it like it is. Now the democrats want the taxpayer to pay off these bad loans so the people do not lose their homes and that is not right. The next step will be to pay off the Escalades and Navigators so they do not lose their automobiles.

Some where along the way the US Senate and the news media has forgotten who the Senators are suppose to be and who they are serving. Years ago when one of the Senators were on tv the caption below the picture said US Senator So and So, but not anymore now it usually leaves off the US its now Dem. or Rep. Senator So and So. Some where along the way this has even transfered to the American people who now think in terms of not what congress is doing for the people but what the senate is doing for the parties. They dont pass laws for the country they are pass or rejected on the grounds of what party is presenting it not wheather it is good for the country but for the party. Maybe we all should stop trying to blame every other party for the troubles we are in but put the blame where it belongs, with the parties who for got the US part of who they represent. And do something totally unheard of work together to fix this mess they all have gotten us in.

Folks: I am disappointed that U. S. News would need advertising

dollars so bad that you would accept advertising from such a firm whose government states that our country is so sorry. Their sales are dropping badly; they are changing the names of

many of their stations. We should not be encouraging and helping such a dictator.

The Bush administration (in the form of Henry Paulson, Ben Bernanke, Christoper Cox, etc) has asked Congress to give them a blank check in the amount of $700 billion. Fortunately, Congress is resisting the rush to action and asking appropriate questions (in spite of what Jim Cramer proclaims). Justification for Congress's pause is reflected in five words: "Iraq and the Patriot Act". The rush to rubber stamp the Bush administration's demands for action in Iraq has led directly to the dilemma we now face. Nearly $1 trillion to fight a war that cannot impose democracy. The first criteria is that the people must want democracy and take action from within. The was no question that the surge would succeed in killing the enemy. However, it has not succeeded in sowing the seeds of democracy. And as Patrick Buchanan has said many times on "Morning Joe and Hardball" that the surge has succeeded, but the cost is too high. And I now submit that the cost is too high. $ trillion for Iraq and now $700 billion for a bailout of fat cats.

What would a common man do? First, get our troops out of Iraq. Rebuild our military and continue the fight on terror, but establish a tactic of seek and destroy (rather than capture and hold).

Regarding the bailout. If Warren Buffet is willing to give Goldman Sachs $5 billion at 10%, why doesn't the treasury and federal reserve do the same? At least the tax payers will be getting something back. If firms do not want a loan under these terms, then they can fail. If it is good enough for Goldman Sachs, it is good enough for other companies and the tax payer.

Another item to be consider is the fact that with all these so-called intelligent people running these firms and the government, how did they miss the problems? I also believe that the so-called experts on the financial shows should also share in the responsibility. The fact is that everyone was just too greedy. And if Henry Paulson is as smart as everyone says (He amassed a $500 million fortune at Goldman Sachs), why didn't he see these problems. As recently as May, 2008, he said that although there are some minor problems, the system is sound. What was he drinking? or, perhaps he was stalling so that some of his friends could get out rich.

Maybe we need a common man or woman to run the show.
