It is obvious that Sue of MS does not read. It has been in the newspapers, TV, cable and newsmagazine about Phil "Foreclosure" Gramm. Phil Gramm, with the support of the Bush administratin and McCain passed the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act in Congress that opened the floodgates for this financial crisis. The Act passed in 2000,with the support of McCain and Republicans in Congress push through this landmark legislation that deregulated the banking/investment industry. In all honesty, the Democrats either looked the other way or were asleep at their chairs when this devastating law passed. The Republicans did not blink an eye or concern themselves with the potentially ruinous fiscal consequences of their actions. I can only hope and pray that Bush,Cneney,Gramm and McCain will experience what financial problems they have brought down upon the nation. The Republicans in there obscene push for power and money have produced a crisis of debt and deficts in the trillions that neigher we, our children, grandchildren even great-grandchildren will be able to pay. All this under the Republican watch.

Most of the comments have been made addressing either Obama or McCain. What needs to be discussed is what the Republicans have done to the country, ie an illegal war, hugest debt in the history of the country, and all the other things that this administration has done. Don't fail to remember that McCain is a Republican, and will continue the ruination of America.

As I like abbreviations, I think the McCain/Palin campaign should be shortened to be the McPain Campaign!!! Somehow it sings...

It surprises me that America even listens to the media or the politicians. I really want to know the truth. Can anyone tell me what that is? If our current president is so bad, why hasn't the democrat-controlled congress done something about it? I thought Congress was the one really in control. What about all the promises made by them? Did they keep them?
