There are far to many people elected to congress without an education even remotely relate financial management or in this case Social Security fund. Therefore, we are getting what should be expected from them. Hiring the person with an unrelated education to do a job creates ineffiency in business, which should be obvious in this case.

Social Security is 21% of the Fed. budget, Medicare & Medicaid is 23%. Notice how Medicare & Medicaid are combined, how about that one! Most of the people and their kids that receive Medicaid have not paid in anywhere near enough to be covered. Where did the kids come from. Well, irresponsible parents in most cases. But they manage to get covered without working 45 years before it's available. Let the Government support them out of the other discretionary account 17% or other mandatory 10% of the federal budget.

This would help separate the people that paid their fair share and the people and their offsprings that are very content on getting by at everyone else's expense.

My 65th birthday was November 2008. When I applied for Medicare back in August 2008, I was working so I only opted for Part A. I lost my job in October 2008 and applied for Part B to Medicare. It took two months for them to acknowledge that they added Part B to my plan. Now I have signed up for Social Security which will start January 2009. But (this is the kicker) although they waited two months to add Part B to my plan, it only took them one week to send me a bill for the $96.40 a month they want me to pay. Funny, when it's money they get from us, suddenly, they have the ability to respond within a week!!! How ironic.

Getting Congress to act will require new thinking. Old methods have not worked. Neither party will do what they say, and old labels do not apply. (Aren't some of the greatest thieves in Congress members of "the party of the people?") Bull!

Quit voting party. Fight voter fraud (which is expected to be at its highest level this year) by opposing any registration except that requiring photo ID. Online registration will have illegals, those recently deceased, and other fraudulent voters.

We cannot afford to do as we have always done unless you want what you have always been given. Ask yourself: "In a few years will Congress have a bailout of Social Security?" NO WAY!! Their retirement is $160,000 a year. THey don't need it, and Congress will do ONLY what benefits them or the people who own them.

If the funds are not there for the "baby-boomers" then the elected politicians that mis - managed the funds should be held accountable! They have deducted the funds from the 'baby boomers checks for 40-50 years passed out the money to everyone, including illegal immigrants and when it it time for the small checks (based on the investment)to be paid back then it becomes a big problem! Oh, there is to many of you! The large number was not a problem while it was being deducted from the checks! If the funds had not been deducted the "baby boomers" would not need the Social Security checks.

This style of management that has led to a 9.2 trillion dollar government debt and 3.6 million jobs lost since 1997 due to all the manufacturing departing the USA. If the system was set up for the present workers to pay the "baby boomers" SS checks, then undo this mess made by encouraging maunfacturers to exit the country, allow the people to return to work and keep on deducting from those checks so justice can be served!
