I can't believe it, a cover story about the occuring world-wide food shortages and burdgeoning human population, and not one word about the only real fix, ZPG, zero population growth. All of the suggested fixes are either pipe-dreams or bandaids.

The authors indicate that human population will rise nearly 50%, from 6.6 billion to 9.1 billion by 2050, mostly in the poorest countries. The U.N. expects the wealthier countries to support this mass of humanity, which is totally unrealistic. Now, 25,000 humans are dying daily of hunger and countless millions live at the subsistance level, can you imagine what 2050 will be like. I am glad I will not be around, but I fear for my grandchildren.

Come on people, WAKE UP, zero population growth is the only answer, better yet, negative growth.
