Just Saying No

Silly me! I always believed it was a primary responsibility of parents to restrict children from acts that were dangerous or unhealthy, that were detrimental to the learning process, or, most important, that violated the rights of fellow occupants of this planet ["It's Tough, but You Can Do It," September 17].

It is indeed gratifying to see "generation me" tutored in the use of the two-letter "N" word in dealing with their offspring! Thanks for the update.

What a novel idea to say "no" to children! The Bible has been saying that for thousands of years. It does work; my grandchildren are living proof. They are happy and easy to have around. Thanks for the article.
