"Obsessing Over a Recession" [September 17] left me entertained, educated, and more able to decipher economic concepts.
Was it the alliterations, colorful descriptions, or the writer's ability to actually impart understanding to the reader that sets this piece apart? I'm sure it was all that and then some. But the pièce de résistance had to be the ending line: "Crying just turned into a full-fledged scream." That's when I decided to share it with my 15-year-old son, and we were both richer for it.
