Here we go again, bailing out not only homeowners but also lenders ["Bailing Out Homeowners," September 3].
With our constant bailing out and accommodating, we will never force anybody to be responsible. Both the greedy lenders and the irresponsible homeowners should suffer the consequences of their actions. Risky financing is just that, risky, and nobody taking high risks should be bailed out.
If it takes "a left-of-center think tank" like the Center for Economic and Policy Research to come up with a simple solution like changing the foreclosure process to help subprime borrowers who have lost their homes, perhaps it is time for the center to move to the left.
