Rep. Anthony Weiner Joins the Bipartisan Ranks of Stupid Men

How many women have been exposed for this behavior? It would seem that it takes two to tango so in all fairness I'm almost positive that certain women have done the same thing it's just that we don't hear about them.

Never thought I would be saying this ... but if an election is between and equally qualified woman and man, I'm voting for the woman.

Men, we are as simple as life is....you're born, you'll go older, you'll die. Men, we born, we have sex, we hunt, we sleep to hunt and have sex again. But in order to be in a relationship we must give up our most basic instinct. So imagine how you would feel if say growing older was taking away from you...

Rep Wiener wanted the women to know WHO he was. He loved the attention that being a congressman brought to him. He USED his position to attract the women because, just a picture of him without the title...was nothing.

These known episodes are probably just the tip of the iceberg.

His behavior, bolding putting himself out there...publicly to women who happen to compliment him on line...was a serious lack of judgement.

He was and could be, very blackmailable with this type of behavior.

If he simply wanted quick titillating online sex, he could have made up a fake email, got onto chat boards, found male photos...and create a persona for fun like all the rest of married perverts.

but he did not do that. He risked it all. And it was just a matter of time before someone blew the whistle on him

with Marshall on this score (considering I usually don't agree with her on much of anything).

The problem is much deeper (no pun intended) than Weiner's weiner. Why do men do what they do is the question? There can be several explainations. The urge to procreate is extremely powerful. Case in point. I have an 8 foot fence and my intact b i t ch German Shorthair Pointer came in heat. Incredibly my neighbor's intact black lab scaled his chain link enclosure and then climbed our shared 8 foot fence just to get to my German Short hair.

Another reason: our society is hypocritical. We are blasted with mixed messages. We are told its wrong to act on our most basic, human instinct and urge, but yet we celebrate those who do. Consequently we want society to adhere to strict puritan values. We demand morality, we go to church, teach our kids the difference between right and wrong, etc. Yet, in the same instant we want our movies to be salacious, our print advertisments tawdry, and our internet access available 24/7 where we have streaming access to hardcore porn with just a key stroke.

Here's another reason. We stopped teaching our boys to be men a looooong time ago. We have progressive social clowns trying to turn our boys into limp wristed women and our girls into strong agressive men. What's the message from the far left. We want you to be a man but don't you dare have a sexual urge, don't consider solving a problem with your fists, don't be competitive, etc.

Here's another reason: Most of the men in question, married women influential, powerful, connected, supporting women who launched their political careers. Unfortunately, when arriving at the pinnacle of success, these men trade their old battle axes for sleek, new models with several upgrades.

Here's another reason: We biologically create babies, but we fail to parent our children. We fail to instill decorum, character, integrity, morals, values, a strong abiding sense of right from wrong.

Here's the other reason: In his heart of hearts Weiner and other powerful types start believing what people say about them. They become drunk on the accolades and their ego swells to the point they truely think they are immune to adversity regardless of their actions.

But, as milligan states, there really is no excuse. They know what they did and consciously made a decision to act. I have little remorse. They all knew the expectations of high office. Many are likely on record denouncing others for manifestly the same or similar reasons. I'm certain there are some sound bites of Weiner wagging a finger at Craig or Sessions. If he wants any respect, then he'll accept the consequences of his actions and exit stage left. Somehow I think he won't. In my mind he epitomizes liberal arrogance. We'll have to pry him out of his seat. Whether he leaves or not is irrelevant because he has just become irrelevant.

Glad to see your priorities are on tight. The hell with jobs, Iraq and economic and educational decline - let's get our panties in an uproar (Aristophanes wrote many other plays which ridiculed sexual mores and phony standards) because - unlike tight pants on singers, or slipped nips, THIS ONE IS REALLY SERIOUS.

No doubt this was stupid - but censorious NOT. Nothing like mob judgement, espeically if it concerns someone else's behavior.
