4 Things Wrong With Christine O'Donnell's 'I'm Not a Witch' Ad

Great comments. I think the GOP would do well to say "NO" to these elements of the TParty. It's not worth the vote. Plus it takes away from those intelligent conservatives who want to work with Dems.

Witchcraft, is a recognized religion in the United States. One would have thought that somebody who is running for office may have known that before making such an offensive and ignorant statement. Can you imagine if she said "I am not a Muslim?"

Simply put - there is one HUGE thing Delawarians are taking offense to with regards to Ms. Christine O'Donnell. I don't know a Delawarian who has seen Ms. O'Donnell campaigning in Delaware. Sure she has some campaign signs on just about every corner (in an awfully weird blue), but is she ever in publicly in Delaware? No. She is getting all this national attention, but she can't be bothered with the local media. Hate to break it to you, but the only people who matter in this race for the Delaware senate seat are registered voters IN DELAWARE. So I don't care if Ms. O'Donnell is crazy (she is), she should at least pay attention to the state that has to make a decision about her. So, yeah, you might support her, or you might oppose her (do you even know who she is running against - for that matter does Ms. O'Donnell know who is is running against?), but unless you are from Delaware, does it really matter? Delaware likes being in the news when it is for positive things - like a retired chemistry professor from Delaware winning the Nobel Prize in Chemistry yesterday - but not for this.

My Dear Leslie,

Methinks you have confused Christine O'Donnell with Rosie O'Donnell.

Your "4 things" OpEd is full of holes. But the liberals don't seem to care, so long as there is a little truth showing around the edges. For example: We will spend until our economy is strong again. (Strange, but my bank won't allow me to do that....) Or perhaps: The gigantic stimulus added MANY new jobs for Americans. (Well, yeah, maybe 55 new jobs at a billion dollars each??)

Sorry, Leslie. Your comments just don't measure up. I suggest you leave the OpEd blog business to Michelle Malkin. Unlike you, she verifies her statements with facts and doesn't rely on innuendo to get her column posted!!

Also for recommended reading is Frank Rich's OpEd in the October 2 edition of The New York times about Christine O'Donnell's "dishonesty." Or does reading another OpEd violate your visionary rules?

“Also part 2

Republican did not want unemployment shortened. Just paid for according to law passed. So she is a liar...

“bruce b of NV...

It is about pay as you go. That passed then came extension for unemployment.

Don't pass something you have no intention to follow. That is dishonest. That is covering you behind come election time. Don't pass something like that when you do not plan on enforcing it. As I recall stimulus money was recommended to pay for unemployment extension by Republicans.

Pay as you go was passed under obama. So war budget does not fall under PAY AS YOU GO for Bush.

Since you mentioned it, is the wars under obama paid for ?

Now you bring up “this whole "pledge to america"proclamation by the g.o.p.isn:t worth the paper it;s printed on.”. Well Newt did fight Clinton and shut down government twice. After many budgets balanced budget was finally signed by Clinton. Civil rights issue on adoption was passed. Contract with America was “worth the paper it;s printed on”. Expect new one will be carried out too.

Good post, Leslie.

Christine, once you're go over to the darkside to dabble into witchcraft you can never go back. Especially when you team up with Darth Palin.

The last thing we need is another wack job like O'Donnell anywhere near DC or governing the country. She's bad news like anyone Palin endorsed. Being a perennial candidate (and living well off being a candidate) is not a qualification for any office. Not matter what her scripts say, this gal is bad news.

The only person I see stirring the black cauldron is YOU. With a black pointed had, black tresses, and green make-up it would not be hard to see you as a Wizard of OZ witch. Pretty funny. Look at her picture. But I digress.

Get a life Marshall, and get back to the issues. You actually do Chrisine a favor because while you ramble about a non issue, she's hitting the campaign trail and discussing the real issues.

Your comments are trite and reactive.

Isn't it clear that Coons will win? Have we fallen into a trap set by Rove? By piling on this weak loser we show Democrats as mean and nasty - plus its a waste of time and effort. For that reason I reject all that you say and write about O'Donnell. Stop writing for entertainment, if you truly believe in the progressive cause reach deep and do some investigating (hard work) on the true thieves in Washington. There are both Republican and Democrat crooks in Washington. Our job as progressives is to shine the light on the Republican crooks with power, not mock the weak candidates.

Republicans are trying to make the case that the Rangel & Waters ethics (unjustified) probe means that ALL Democrats are unethical. Are we battling back by trying to paint Republicans with the O'Donnell brush? Don't you see how weak the case is? You and all the other progressive journalist have just been lazy. It is not good enough to be cheerleaders for the administration. You journalists need to work hard and uncover REAL weakness and problems of the Republican leadership. Just repeating the mantra....oh racist, oh you for the rich, oh you hate Hispanics, oh you anti union (good paying) jobs does nothing because the public has heard it all before. Get off your seats and dig! NOW before it's too late....November 2nd is coming soon and all I hear from our progressive journalists is cheer leading and those OLD anti-republican mantras. You are like the Kevin Bacon character in Animal House...."Remain calm, all is well"....and then gets trampled by the mob.
