Everybody claiming that Koman's descision was based on political reason's, please bear in mind that this article is an opinion piece written by someone who is payed to write contraversial articles that cause debate and stir emotions. Do you know the directors personally and know their true intentions? Are you going to take Leslie's word that this is political and not at all a std. policy in which ANYONE under investigation regardless of party affiliation will be affected this way, or are you just a judgmental know-it-all douche?"

LIES AND DAMNED LIES...
American Life League published research last summer revealing that Susan G. Komen for the Cure affiliates had awarded $629,159 to Planned Parenthood Federation of America affiliates for "breast health." However, it has since been revealed that the only "breast health service" Planned Parenthood facilities are qualified to provide is the same manual exam most women do at home in their shower--not mammograms, as Cecile Richards, president of PPFA, had falsely claimed in public statements.
It is altogether appropriate that Komen withdraw funding from an organization that does not do mammograms. After all, Komen is in the business of saving women's lives - not killing babies.

Let's see....
PP doesn't do mammograms. Screenings and referrals, yes.
PP DOES do abortions - to the tune of $155 million in 2009 alone.
PP is under federal investigation for illegally using federal money to perform abortions.
Komens policy is to not donate to organizations that are under investigation.
And your beef is what?

WHY DO THEY NEED TO FUND PLANNED PARENTHOOD? Would everyone be ok if they opened another clinic and did these screenings themselves? What happens if that is what they are planning?

Do you think that SGK will make more money with this decision? YES because there have large amounts of people not donating to them because of their decision to donate to planned parenthood, who by the way gives out birth control that causes the very issue that they are trying to end.

Planned Parenthood has never done mammograms and they really don't do a lot of breast exams. Their focus is on their money maker-- abortion. Komen did the right thing. I will be giving generously to Komen, as my mother in law is a breast cancer survivor. I have never given the past because of Komen's ties to such a twisted, evil organization as Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood is a friend to:
*rapists of underage girls
*perpetrators of human trafficing
*perpetrators of incest and child abuse

John, find some credible, non-outdated sources that have no biases. Preferably those that DO include the biological, health, experimental and family backgrounds/history's of the subjects. Peer reviews are good things.

On the Komen website under contact us is a place to report unethical behaviors by people who discriminate against women with breast cancer. The organization's mission is all about supporting women with breast cancer. The blantant actions of the organization is certainly unethical if not immoral. Komen ought to be publically ashamed of its political agenda, which apparently now is more important than is its mission.
I complained on the Komen site under the report unethical behaviors. Apparently I was one of the messages deleted by the Komen people.
