Okay. If you have a computer and access to the Internet, you now know all about Christine "Dingbat" O'Donnell. Even Karl Rove says the newly crowned Republican nominee for the Senate seat in Delaware is nuts.
Let's see. Darwin was wrong, the earth is 6,000 years old, and creationism should be taught in the public schools. God wouldn't want us to lie to the Nazis, even to save folks from concentration camps. Onanism is a pressing social issue. She's going to Washington to fix the federal budget, but can't seem to pay her own bills and taxes, or compose an accurate resume.
Well, I'm stopping now. The real danger, as I see it, is that the kind and courtly people of Delaware will feel sorry for their hometown gal, and get tired and defensive and a little grouchy about people laughing at their lovely state, and throw her enough sympathy votes to actually elect her. We should all shut up, and let the voters there dispatch her with dignity, as they have before.
But here's the thing. She-whose-name-will-not-be-mentioned was endorsed by Sarah Palin! That is right, folks. The former almost-one-term governor of Alaska thinks that you-know-who is qualified to serve in the United States Senate. Go ahead. I dare you. Do a google search on whats-her-name, and then tell me with a straight face that you think she's qualified for public office. And yet she's the kind of person that Sarah thinks should be serving in the Senate, and voting on things like....oh, I don't know....sending our kids to war, civil liberties, the environment, education, or the economy. It's got to make you wonder: Who's the greater ditz?
