Oh my, our Governor now “Honors Civil War History the Right Way”. Now who gave US News & World Report the authority to define what is the right way? This is so politically correct (PC). The Media has the power to make us do what they want. We are becoming a bunch of Pavlov’s dogs! Well let them ring the bell, I will not gratify them by salivating.

Just when I had determined the USNEWS site was turning into a "Liberal Rag" like all the others... you step up and say something "nice" about a Republican?

Let's go spend some more money we don't have to make nice to all the people who "whined".

This is a core problem with the US these dayz...WE don't have it anymore and some sacrifices have to be made especially considering the foolish moves made by OUR current and PAST Government.

Still no mention of the part that Slavery DID play in the Civil War...one problem of many that left the Southern States with little choice but to REVOLT.

Much like today it would seem.

I'm all about preserving OUR history but I wish more voters knew something about it and would reign in BOTH Political parties to do OUR bidding instead of their OWN "agendas".

this is just a couple of weeks after McDonnell tried to close several state parks, including two where the bald eagle is flourishing despite being surrounded by intense development. I think historic parks should be saved. I think natural parks should be saved. Didn't think they were threatened until he got elected.

Perhaps Mr. Farrell thinks he needs to "lay the praise on thick" for Governor McDonnell going out to sign a spend-some-taxpayer-money-on historic-land bill at a site where the confederates "routed the union army". There is still some symbolism here that is questionable, is there not?
