We all understand it's wrong to say certain things at certain times, but I do wonder why must we all put masks on in order to conduct ourselves in a "well behaved" manner. What is so wrong about being ourselves and saying what's on our mind. I understand that there are a variety of words, but really...why is it so difficult to understand that the man slipped. Why is it such a scandal for him to speak like everyone else.

"Its unprofessional." bawh. honestly, if you can tell me that you've never cursed or said something inappropriate around the wrong crowd you are a liar. Its called being human.

"But hes in the government. He knows better. Hes a role model." bawh. WE ALL know better. We ALL are role models to someone.

So stop criticizing the man for doing what you do.

I find it really difficult to believe that you mean what you have written, Mr. Farrell. Your defense of Rahm Emanuel wreaks of the same hypocrisy speciously argued to defend Harry Reid's comments suggesting that many white people voted for President Obama because of his light colored skin and ability to avoid talking like a "Negro." Reid promptly apologized to black people for his slur, but apparently was incapable (as you seemingly are) of understanding that his smear was just as, or more, insulting to white people for implying that the latter would only vote for a black person capable of "acting white." Mr. Farrell, is it your intention to deliberately escalate the level of hateful rhetoric? For what reason? How does it help us to think clearly about the monumental problems that confront us and debate possible solutions? If former Vice President Cheney had said the things that Immanuel and Reid said, would you and the pandering main stream media have been as forgiving?

You're pretty stupid, aren't you

Does anyone remember Cheney's 2004 F-bomb on the Senate floor? I don't care if the Senate wasn't in session, it was inappropriate. Rahm was out of line, too. President Obama is one of the few adults in this government. He has my full support in going after both sides of the aisle for their behavior. I'm tired of name calling, campaign talking points and bad behavior in general. I'm tired of it from the American public, too.

I am going to address the blogger and not some of the commentators because this only allows x amount of characters. The word retarded is never an appropriate word when we have so many other options. The mere fact that you wrote an article about this situation and defended gives me reason to question your intellectual limitations. I am not saying you are stupid, I'm simply pointing out that your perception of what is correct might be a little askew.

Thank you.

I am getting tired of Obama and his staff being so foolish.

Why can't they act like professionals! They curse and use words to hurt. I thought words mattered! Maybe Obama and Rahm and the other retarded Obama bums should go to Vegas and spend some money bowling! I cannot wait until we threw these bums out of office.

Sarah choice was to have her child. That is a life commitment. She would be dogged if she keep the child at home. She was dogged the child was not her's.

These folks from Alaska against her just bad mouth and no examples. She gave reason for leaving office. Constant law suites, which she won all. She was in debt for legal fees and found it rough to do her job.

Her book sales prove her popularity. The cuts here mean nothing. She is more popular than obama. Of course that's not saying much.

So sound off your insults without evidence that is unsubstantiated. I'll put obama down with examples, evidence, and links.

Do your name calling if it makes you feel good. According to Gallop Sarah is most popular woman next to Hillary. obama is biggest loser after 1 year in office since WW2 when poll began. Near all polls against his agenda.

If Sarah is so bad, then obama is 1000 floors lower.

Facts rules.

I have worked in school settings for 10 years with all ages and

abilities of students. It's bad enough that I have to discourage them of using the "r" word, but to have to correct

the president's chief of staff!???!!!!??? Wow, how unprofessional. This is how the Obama administration portrays

itself to the little people, we are the ones who vote.

Jean Henning of OH 11:07AM February 03, 2010

any way you try to SPIN it -- bottom line if Rahm Emanuel had a mentally or physically challenged child himself, does anyone honestly believe that he would have chosen that term?!
