Everything other than trakpad/ alpanumeric pad entry worked prior to drop off for those Thrilling Apple People! They return a MacPro that works NOT AT ALL!

APPLE - THE COMPANY THAT TAKES PRIDE IN BACKDATING OPTIONS!

APPLE- THE COMPANY THAT KNOWINGLY SELLS "STATE OF THE ART'" I PHONES WITH DEFECTIVE- NON FUNCTIONING ANTENNAS!

APPLE- CROOKED AMERICAN COMPANY OF THE YEAR AWARD!!!!!!

THE MANAGER, Ms. Watson refused to repair the malfuncitons, despite the computer working prior to those Marvelous Apple staff working their "Genius" ways!

The Apple Genius staff seems to have quite a way with computers. Bring them a minor, INEXPENSIVE issue and they return a COMPLETELY INOPERATIVE APPLE LAPTOP !

Hello

I dropped off my Apple MacBook Pro ONLY with a trakpad defect. The Apple NY Staff were unpleasant and strident. They returned my MapPro which worked for about 1 hour and then NO aspect of the MacBook Pro worked at all! Quite a game that Apple Runs. A minor repair and their "Team" ruins the whole computer and then proceeds to return a non functioning Laptop.

As you will recall, APPLE intentionally backdated Management Options!!!!

As you will recall, Apple promoted and distributed a new, costly I Phone with full knowledge of Serious Antenna Defects!

Their Manager, Ms Watson, refused to repair the problems that did not exist prior to dropping of the MacPro for a minor trakpad repair! Their Head Tech was nasty, arrogant and strident!

So much for American Business Integrity and the American Way of Business-

There are a number of "defects" that the Ipad has that my $300 Netbook does not have.

But the biggest game changer the Ipad creates is doing away with the cutting of trees for paper to go into the garbage can after it's been read. 15 years from now, maybe sooner, you will mention how the "paper" was delivered to your lawn by car and wonder about all that carbon emmisions created just to read the news.

If the NY Times or any other news publisher thinks they can charge for their product anymore, they are dreaming. Why should I pay for the NYT when I can get the same information on cnn.com or foxnews.com or many other sites for free. As long as you only publish generic news, you are destined to fail.

What these dying publications need to do is to team up with other publications that actually offer value. Perhaps publications like Scientific American, The Wall Street Journal, fitness magazines, gardening magazines, home magazines, etc. And put them all together in a package and sell them as a subscription. That's the only way somebody that has a product that has no value like the NYT can get paid.

They should treat it just like the cable companies. A package of media for a subscription price. I get tons of channels I never watch, but they still get a portion of my money. That's the only way the NYT would ever get any of my money. They need to team up with content providers that actually provide unique content. Then people would pay for everything and the NYT would get a cut. And who knows, I might actually read it every once in awhile since I am paying for it anyway.

When I travel the number of electronic devices make me cringe and I often worry what TSA thinks about all the wires and chargers.

Any new device better have some true game changing value added to my brief case and not provide me with a Apple swiss army knife that compromises ease of use and performance over what I already own.

If the price point is what many suggest, that is > $450, unless it has an app to find that one missing sock or will iron my shirts and pants it will remain at the Apple Store.

the new york times? what's that, dullsberger's blog? and now with those wowow graphics! bang your head against the wall Farrell, maybe the mist will clear and you will have a real thought. The NEW YORK TIMES IS A defunct business model. Suddenly paying for that crap didn't work the last time around.....ask that dimwit dowd.

graphics and audio/video bells and whistles on a "tablet" device to keep the dull old print version of newspapers (with the real ideas in them) flowing for free, this all sounds fine. Personally, I have a feeling the bells and whistles will REPLACE the real ideas----since bells and whistles don't draw criticism of corporations, but ideas do, and since bells and whistles sell better than thoughts.
