But if they were to come here we don't know what they will do us.

Lets face it, this is a Win-Win-Win-Win for Obama.

Our Favorite Jr Senator IS a GREAT politician which places him slightly below cockroaches. He releases these CIA memos while WE have "boots on the ground" in 2 war fronts ( catering to the ACLU ), he gets to continue attacking the former administration (and their party), he might get rid of Pelosi too

(she was hogging the media limelight) and he can claim bipartisan "transparency" while sitting upon his high "moral" thrown.

He never knew anything 'cause he was just a JR Senator.

BRILLIANT! Shame he doesn't work for US!

If we are going to go down the road of grandstanding about torture (there I said it) at Gitmo, I think we need to go back 64 years and talk about Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Lots of people died in the bombing: lots of innocent people. It was done in during a time of war with an enemy who played by a different set of rules. It was done to save lives in the long run. Sound familiar? The difference is that a democratic President authorized it.

The Eisenhower administration did not make a case. We moved on. It was ugly. Innocents died.

If we really want to get information out of these belligerents, we should force them to live, work, and pay taxes in California. I guaranty they would "sing like canaries."

Are you kidding me with this torture nonsense. We are dealing with people who have blown up women and children and have beheaded people over the internet. Whaaa we stuck there heads in water I hope that we are doing a lot worse to them. If we can save one solider or citizen by torture I have no problem with that. As fast as the Democratic s took over the majority they well lose it if they think Americans are against Torture of these extremists.

They should all be accountable. We are a nation of laws.

We are at war, were at war when Pelosi was informed of the tactics she now says she knew nothing about. I am hardily sick of the whole business. When you have people trying to blow up the capital and other major cities in this country, you can't play nice with interrogation. This is not something like Castle, The Mentalist and other cop shows. Maybe it takes someone to chop fingers off one by one, sever ears, scalp the victim, break legs, decapitate a US citizen in front of you like our soldiers have endured fighting for this country to make some of the people placing blame understand. What the Democrats are complaining of NOW, is nothing compared to real torture. Obama and his team should stop blaming the former administration to make themselves look good. It is unbecoming of a President to do this in time of war.

Good stuff zev. Good to see not everybody in NY and California have "left" the resevation. you were able to convey your point without calling anybody an idot or worse. Only the people who can't articulate their position resort to charecter assassination.

Thank you for your sevice and insight. Maybe some of these people bloggers should know what waterboarding is before the condem it. A true liberal will never let the facts get in the way of a good "witch hunt". I find it almost humerous that the same people who advicate late term abortions call waterboarding torture.

being a combat veteran,i am proud of our military and its defense of our national interests.for those who still question weapons of mass destruction, look to article from bbc dated 7-24-08...1.77 tons of enriched uranium removed from iraq and over 1000 highly radioactive sources..now would you want to know if that was given to a terrorist organization which can and will build a dirty bomb..is this a weapon of mass destruction..yes and compound that by how many they make and place throughout the world, maybe your backyard..these terrorists have no value for human life..they use people as shields..innocent children and women..this is way beyond our technique of waterboarding for information to save lives..military and civilian..to remove the terror so that people can live their lives safe and free..now as far as pelosi as well as reid, dodd, frank, schumer, and others, yes they are dangerous and need to be removed.the idea of releasing guontonomo enemy combatants to rejoin the battle..one now in charge of operations in afghanistan..killing our boys and girls in uniform..i hold those politicians responsible for their deaths and putting our troops in greater danger as well as our country as these terrorists come across the border for another 9/11 shot..would we not like to know what the politicians know and plan and when they knew it and planned it...what do you say..time to waterboard a few politicians.and what about that one that said our military soldiers are the terrorists..talk like that will get the intended response..they are power hungry not thinking of our welfare rather their pockets..i for one am fed up...let's find out who is against us and taxes our freedom away and gives our country way of life away to socialism leading to communism then dictatorship..pelosi is first on the list.

All treaties the United States Signed and agreed too were to members of other nations Uniformed military. Here is an interesting thought... The common Foot soldier of the US falls under a different Geneva Convention code than the SPEC OPS personel do... Because alot of SPEC Ops dont wear uniforms!!!

Did the Taliban sign those treaties?.... I must have missed that part.

Are they wearing a uniform and fighting away from the civilians? what about the Taliban using Willie P. ( white Phosphorous) on indiginous civilians and then trying to lay the blame on the US?.

When fighting a gentleman, use gentleman rules. ( Geneva COnvention) when fighting a low life no moral having criminal, you better be fighting the same way... or you will go down... simple street rules do apply here
