Driving north on the 101 through Santa Barbara today I thought to myself, need my husband to bring the bagger home, we need to ride! I was on my way to a meeting where I was handed a copy of the Harley ad that was in the NY Times. Yep, reading that just cinched it and I thought it was dead on. My husband, Mike, often say's that sometimes he rides a bike home through the hills just to get the cobwebs out of his head.

You see, we run a company that was started with 'Good Old American Ingenuity' 61 years ago by my parents. Making aftermarket motorcycle products. So I know where this ad is coming from...

I ride because..

Life is too short to play golf

My Mom said not to

Cars don't wheelie

Everything looks better viewed over handlebars..

Good job Harley, now make more parts for your motorcycle in the US.

buy American, consider this, the job you save may be your own. and by the way, I'm still riding my 1990 FLT

twisting the throttle forward makes you slow down. most Harley wonks don't actually ride them, so I guess they wouldn't know anything about that.

I am a firm believer that I will push my harley before I will ever ride a Honda.

Fortyeight years ago, I threw my leg across my first Harley. It's true that during my family raising years I got dull and bored because I didn't have a Harley. Three years ago, I got back in the saddle with a new Ultra Classic. I'm here to stay and so is Harley-Davidson. I even bought HOG stock this month and they have done me PROUD. Now I brag to my friends about my Harley and about my rising HOG stock. You don't have to be told to keep up the good work, just tell the metrics to stay out of your way because Harley is up and going places. GO HARLEY !!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been riding Harley-Davidson for 43-years. Born and raised in America. When you buy one the money stays here in the Good old USA, to be spent in your neighborhood and your city; not x-amount sent back to Japan to thier economy. I wouldn't trade my life style for any other. BTW.. College grad.

You meet the nicest people on a Harley.

Harley does make bikes all Americans can afford. They start at about 6700.00 and a big twin starts at a very reasonable 11999.00. Compared to our Japanese competition, look at the resale value when you go to trade it in. It becomes a value proposition. Most of all it is American.

I've got 53,000 miles on my '03 Deuce and my heart pounds every time I hit the start button. Yeah it's slow but damn it's beautiful, and this year it's paid for. Buy what you want, that's what I did, I hope you're half as pleased as I am! Buy something cheap if it makes you happy, I'm happy for you. I love my Harley and the lifestyle. No, it's not for everybody. Thank you, Harley Davidson for bailing me out of a nice safe life and the chance to be among people who want to enjoy life before they get old and retire. Hell, by that time , it may be too late!
