Barack Obama Is No Socialist

I don't understand why Pres Obama didn't name the likes of the heads of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that were responsible for the cause of the melt down of our economy, and they act like they are c.ompletely innocent. I am an independent and I have never experienced a president that just goes ahead and give orders and you never really know what he stands for. Before he was elected every thing he said, he has done or has at least tried--health insurance that most people don,t want, etc, etc. After he was elected and sworn in, you have to watch what he does and not what he says--opposite when he was campaigning. He was telling us all about change like much more transparency--that's really a big laugh; Iv'e been on this earth quite sometime and I have never seen our presidents lead like he does. I think he is probably a nice person but he does not know how to lead, and that is not good. I feel like we will be much better when he leaves the presidency, I am sorry to say. A disappointed voter.

My grandson has an assignment which ask him to prove Obama is a socialist. I am trying not to be appalled....waiting for more details and specifics re:the assignment... Did he chose that side? Can he present contrary information? Is it a prejudice/ignorant teacher? ( I am one so am actually ready to give him the benefit of the doubt) Help! Help! How does one begin to dispute these accusations??? ...for my own satisfaction. I get so much truly disgusting conservative e-mails...

Socialists have long employed the tactic of lying big and lying often. To claim Obama is not a Socialist is a bald faced lie unless you want to more accurately describe him as a Liberal Fascist (which I would agree with ). Reagan's tax cuts doubled revenues and set up 20 years of incredible growth and prosperity, Clinton had zero to do with this success but was given credit for much of it by an ignorant populace. If Congress (who controls the purse strings ) had not tripled spending upon seeing the windfall we would have balanced the budget much sooner and kept it that way.

The lie's foisted here on Wealthy tax cuts recited like a Socialist Mantra are so predictable but so destructive that they need to be shouted down for the sake of all humanity. The top 15% of wage earners in the U.S. already pay 85% of all taxes while the bottom 40% pay NOTHING ! How is Obama going to give them a tax cut? Obviously he's not and he knows it. But these things aside, what gives one Man the right to put a gun to another's head to give a third person his money? That's immoral, that's Socialism, that's the Democratic party for the last 100 years and it has been proven not only a failure every time it is tried but it's militant ugly sisters (Communism and Socialistic Fascism) have caused the deaths of over 100 Million in the last century.

Then why is it that every thing he does brings us closer and closer to socialism? And the things he does, have hidden agendas. He,in my opinion is slimy and is going to lead this country into a disaster. Is he following the agenda of the book he received lately?

Now he or his zar are raising my medicare payments. That makes sense. That is the first of the squeeze to not let people be able to have any health care BUT the governments.

Thank You,Waldo Kemp.

US News is the most biased liberal rag in print. This article is just another example of their liberal, socialist, and racist position. I wouldn't give you a dime for the whole organization.

Where is the mention or call for reduction in the size of government? Perhaps we should confisgate 85% of our beaurocrats' income in Washington before giving them power to confisgate ours. Lets remove the mindset that more government is better and push for the opposite. Make government account to the same laws and respect their own legislation. If there is a deficit, for God sake - use Common Sense and reduce the size of the "government footprint" that is consuming the public funds.

I must be missing something because I don't see the basis for the current red scare over Obama.

Does raising the top marginal tax rate back to where it was under Clinton make him a socialist? Hardly. By the way, all of these idiots calling him a socialist seem to ignore the middle class tax cuts in his stimulus package (and those cuts are greater than Bush's $600 "rebate").

How does Obama's increased spending on infrastructure projects differ from Reagan's huge spending increases on military contracts? Reagan applied a very similar blend of Friedman and Keynesian economics to bring us out of the '81 recession, the only difference is the sector that received the government money.

What about the Reagan and Bush administrations bailing out the Savings and Loans? Is that any different from Obama and Bush offering aid to troubled investment firms? Not really.

All of the rhetoric of the hysterical right amounts to one thing: a lot of unfounded hyperbole aimed at scaring the ill-informed masses into voting for Republicans in 2010 and 2012.

Fast forward in my time machine to March 12th 2009... when this post is being written.

You were dead wrong Ms. John Aloysius Farrell !!! Obama has proven himself to be an unabashed Socialist. God help the USA.

It is time to cease the argument regarding Socialism versus Capitalism and begin the movement towards Peace and Prosperity.

10 years ago, we were fighting the Asian financial crisis, faced strong objections from the USA, and were criticized as having departed from the capitalist free economy competition principle. Now that a financial crisis has swept the USA, government has taken completely different actions, prompted criticism from academia along with the media. However, these accusations were utterly disregarded, resulting in absolutely no influence on the government’s decisions.

It is obvious that when it comes down to it, no one is willing to sacrifice their current success and own wellbeing to make a statement in the esoteric war against the hundred year old definition of socialism. More…..http://fengbozhang.blogspot.com/

A very interesting article, based on his true China, Japan and USA experience..

He wants to spread the wealth around, bankrupt the coal industry, to drive up electricity prices, wants equal wages for all people, and has even stated in his books that he idolized marxism and socialism. Take a History Lesson, Pick up a book about someone
