The underlying issue is what spirit are you in. No one is immune from the influences of the spirit. If you are in Christ and He in you then you will be hated by the world. So it is with Sarah Palin.

She must be jeered in their warped view of the world. To allow her to speak and express herself without the ridicule is impossible. They can not argue the issue of abortion without this hatred. The one who influences and or resides within them hates Jesus and therefore anyone who challenges the status quo of their dark visions.

How can one rationally condone the killing of an unborn human life because it has not yet drawn a breath and the mother may wish to eliminate this inconvenient immature being? It is inconceivable irrational thinking to me. Obviously it is impossible to discuss rationally with them such thoughts so foreign to their internal belief and hatreds.

If ever Christens should stand up, it is now.

There are enough of us, If we just stand up

we can change things. We are in the majority.

Why are we afraid? politicely right, what about being God right.

I believe Jesus would prefer Honesty

He would prefer no unprovoked war, such as IRAQ.(Thou Shalt Not Kill)

He would prefer no Death penalty.(Thou Shalt Not Kill)

He would not want us to drill anywhere and everywhere

He would prefer that we help the less fortunate.

He would prefer that we feed the hungry

He would prefer that we house the homeless

He would prefer that health care not be limited to the wealthy.

He would prefer not cheating on your wife as McCain did after returning from the war.

Jusus would vote for Obama because being pro choice is not the only issue this election.

John McCain has made the right choice to be on the side of life. Obama should not be president because he will not be able to make the right choices because they are not always what the people want!

Jesus said that the world hated him and the world will also hate us (Christians) becasue we are not of this world. Satan is the Father of lies and he can do nothing but lie. John (The Baptist) said repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand and as the days of Noah were so shall it be just before the return of Christ to Earth to setup his Kingdom. Jesus is the door out of this world to the real pleasures of life. He offers eternal life the Life of God to those who put their trust in him.

I am tired of the Christian-bashing.If you don't want to be a Christian...don't.If you would rather not believe in a Supreme Creator....your choice. But please, quit ridiculing others whose beliefs may be different than yours. And allow them the same rights to exercise ther freedoms to elect those who share their beliefs without you whining about it.

Come on John, you are more thoughtful and insightful than this sad cariacuture of the faith community. There is already enough shallow demeaning of differing worldviews from both the faith and secular perspectives. How can we face the serious challenges of our geneation without tolerance and respect for those with whom we don not agree. I found the recent forum by Pastor Rick Warren to be balanced and helpful in presenting both presidential candidates without filtering or manipulation of politcal party or media. As Rick Warren said in an interview, separation of church and state does not mean the separation of faith from politics. Secularism is itself a form of faith. In Amrica today we must figure out how to live and work together. I fear that if we don't, we will be unable to overcome the challenges that we faceinternationally and domestically.

do you know who bashs Christians more then atheists??? ignorant Christians, thats who! Obama being a baby-killer and queer lover wil never get the Jesus vote.

Jack Angelo Territo of NY 1:49PM August 19, 2008

I'm tired of the Christians (and I am one) whining as though they have held no sway over our government. Separation of Church and State is myth, after all look at Bush and then look at McCain and Obama standing in front an evangelical church group. Why not in front of St. Patrick's Catholic Cathedral in NYC, or a Mosque or Jewish Temple? Why are they pandering solely to the Christian faction, this country has many more faith groups then just the evangelical Christians but they the Christians act as though they are repressed which could not be farther from the truth. What they need to do is pay more attention to ALL the issues and not just one issue like abortion and not issues of war, the economy or a polluted planet.
