University Study: Fox Viewers More Misinformed
Tweet Share on Facebook December 22, 2010 Comment (36)I have a warm spot in my heart for the University of Maryland. Though I didn't end up in College Park, they were nice enough to offer me admission when few other colleges (given my high school grades) were inclined to do so. The Terps saw something in me that others did not. They have now come under fire from Fox News, and I rise to their defense.

New Census Data Brings Good News for Democrats
Tweet Share on Facebook December 21, 2010 Comment (12)Today's U.S. Census Bureau report will confirm what average Americans have known, and political scientists have recognized, for decades: the Sun Belt states continue to gain population, members of Congress and votes in the Electoral College at the expense of their northern counterparts. A Marine's Act of Courage: Opposing 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell'
Tweet Share on Facebook December 17, 2010 Comment (16)It comes as no surprise to find men and women of great courage serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. After all, it is almost redundant to say "brave Marine."

Why Is Charles Krauthammer Saying Obama Won?
Tweet Share on Facebook December 10, 2010 Comment (7)Charles Krauthammer is wickedly smart, wickedly conservative and, maybe, just plain wicked.
It is not beyond him to spread disinformation--to write a column that says one thing, when he really believes another, in order to spread chaos and confusion among his foes.

Cutting Through the Fog on Global Warming
Tweet Share on Facebook December 9, 2010 Comment (9)Lonnie Thompson was born in West Virginia. He went to college at Marshall University, and did his post-graduate work at Ohio State, which employs him now. He and his research team look properly Midwestern--like the folks you would meet in a Lutheran church choir, or at the local Rotary.

A Progressive Rebellion Could Help Obama in 2012
Tweet Share on Facebook December 8, 2010 Comment (8)There may be no more intellectually and morally skewed a political philosophy than: “The rich have the clout to demand more money; let’s give it to them.” Yet you have to hand it to American conservatives. They are far better than liberals at achieving their objectives.

Democratic Liberals: Put Up a Fight or Stay Quiet
Tweet Share on Facebook December 7, 2010 Comment (15)It is put up or shut up time for Democratic liberals. If you don’t like the terms of the deal that Barack Obama has cut with congressional Republicans, by all means fight to kill it. Otherwise, shut up.
