Same ol', same ol'. Chicken and the egg story. Reality is nothing is going to change in any side at this pace. Cubans will do as they will while US government will continue playing to have a morally superior role while is unable to admit embargo policy never worked. In the meantime, US citizens will be barred of traveling to Cuba, while Cuba is full of tourists from every corner of the planet. Who wins with current status quo? Cuban - american hard line politicians and... the cuban government.

The main reform needed that to the failed US anti-Cuban policy that has injured not only Cuba's economy but the free development of Cuban life. What is Cuba to reform to, failed free enterprise, failed education, failed health care, growth in prison population, crime and drug use, wasteful expenditures in political campaigns where the super rich participate and the rest of the American people vote at par with major corporations? (after all they are individuals). I just think the US should take care of its house before looking at the faults of others.

Certain aspects of your article are accurate. However, your brief statement regarding not lifting the embargo is based on a most weak, old, and tired argument. Current U.S. foreign policy's center piece, the embargo, has been a total failure.

As Cuba changes, we are the only one that is isolated! Cuba is now trading with most all our allies. Further, we have taken ourselves out of the process of constructive engagement and playing a role in a new Cuba.
