Is the Washington Post's News Sexist?

If you think that "The Washington Post" isn't feminist enough, then you must also think that "Pravda" during the Soviet Union's heyday wasn't Communist enough.

Millions of gallons of crude oil are leaking at this very moment and ruining the gulf coast. North Korea is provoking a war. The economy is in the tank and may collaspe before are very eyes. Iran will have nukes before long and war with Israel is very real. Our soldiers are in harms way on the other side of the world.

All of this and ERBE chooses to write about sexism. This is why nobody takes radical feminist like mssss Erbe serious, in fact most just laugh and move on which is the ultimate insult to her over inflated ego.

Looks like there is more than one person here who can't follow a thread!

Gee, Bonnie, most, if not all, of the Washington Post's Opinion and Editorial columns are available to readers on the Post's website. And you still don't read them? Sounds like you're getting lazy, old girl.

Oh gee.... so sorry that I took your remarks in the context of the post at hand. I guess that I need to take refresher courses in clairvoyancy.

My remarks to you hover around your assumption that I (and Ca. Love) "solely" based our positions on Ms. Erbe's current blog. Your implication is not ambiguous, but rather obvious and "comprehensible".

Take your medicine like a good boy.

My chastisement, since you obviously didn't notice, was stated as limited to the content of this particular post of hers. I rarely agree with Bonnie, but defense even for her is due when people make blanket statements without any backup.

how noble a defense of Ms. Erbe. However, it is based on a faulty assumption on your part, "To (sic) bad your reading comprehension is so poor - pretty hard to pin the 'sexist' label on Bonnie based solely from what is written in her post."

Unlike yourself, I am not quick to jump to conclusions. Ms. Erbe and I have a "blog" relationship going back for some time. Perhaps you'd like me to use footnotes next time? You do "comprehend" footnotes, don't you?

R.L. Schaefer of CA 12:57PM May 25, 2010

Gads, can you guys actually read?

California Love : Are you a product of the CA public school system or just high on weed? Not sure if I've seen any other writing that compares in lack of continuity!

Bonnie is merely parroting what was written and claimed in WaPo by its own editor, NOT putting forth her own ideas, other than that she got bored with the paper years ago.

To bad your reading comprehension is so poor - pretty hard to pin the 'sexist' label on Bonnie based solely from what is written in her post.

ditto your remarks.
