Gov. Pawlenty's Offensive "Abortion Recovery Month"

Whether one is pro-life or pro-choice , I always assumed an honest person understood we were talking about a woman's right to "kill her children". I realize that is a vile thing to say but I am not interested in sugar coating truth. If you abort a “fetus” that is minus 6 months old named Bonnie Erbe or you kill a child plus 6 months old named Bonnie Erbe , Bonnie Erbe is dead. There is no debate on this point . That is the plain and simple truth.

I do not necessarily need the government to be involved in all this because I really do believe that it is primarily something for a woman and a doctor to figure out but I do know that the law must draw the line somewhere or Bonnie Erbes everywhere would be in danger for their lives at the hands of their mothers. Whether the law says Bonnie's life can be taken by her mother at the minus 6 month mark and no later or the law says plus 6 months or plus 6 years for that matter, the date is just an arbitrary point in time.

If you said you did not consider abortion the killing of a child , I would doubt your ability to think rationally . I cannot even imagine an honest debate on the issue of abortion unless both parties agree to the basic premise that we are discussing a woman's right to take the life of her child.

As I said , I understand the pro- choice position somewhat in that I do not want the government overly involved in my life but you have to admit we cannot just let women "abort" their children at any age. There must be some restriction even for the most liberal person.

Bonnie, it seems your article was a qualified strikeout according to the comments made on the piece. Keep up the good work. You're doing a good job revealing the fallacy of justification of abortion for pro-abortion supporters.

"Americans should stop selling horses for slaughter abroad because we LOVE OUR HORSES and do not treat them as livestock. That's the right the right reason to stop this INCREDIBLY CRUEL PRACTICE. Still, millions of greedy horse owners and breeders send horses off to slaughter because it's more remunerative than not breeding at all..." - Bonnie Erbe 04/05/2010

How can one have such sympathy for horses and no compassion for an unborn child? What leads one to recognize that not breeding those animals would be better than killing their offspring but to publicly denounce abstinance education as religious propaganda! There is no logic to this reasoning. May God have mercy on you.

well, bonnie. I think you've made a great point against yourself with the statement. stating that the religious right, "guilt trips" teens out of abortions. Though "guilt tripping" may be what you feel that they are doing, you chose a most unfortunate term to describe it. "guilt trip" insinuates that the teens feel guilty. Which is true. they feel guilt, and certainly not without foundation. Me, being a teenager myself, know guilt, and have never felt it without reason. Guilt means you feel responsibility for a WRONG you have committed, or in this case contemplated over committing, which therefore means that abortion is wrong, and that you know it, somewhere deep deep down inside of you which would also explain your defensive behavior and aggressive rhetoric toward the "religious right." Thank you so much for your comment. The religious right desperately needs your logic to continue making their case.

Women are supposed to be the nurturing force in our world but this concept escapes feminist. They would prefer that their unborn child suffer a miserable death rather than them face an inconvenience. These people are sick, self loathing and hateful. Who else could promote, with pride, the killing of their own offspring. Sleep well Erbe, as the blood of the innocent children of this counrty is spilled because of your radical ideology.

Years ago I found it somewhat offensive when Rush Limbaugh referred to feminist as "feminazi's". I must say however that after reading Bonnie Erbe I now know what he was talking about. Erbe is a fanatic, illogical, abrasive leftist radical as her drivel in this article clearly demonstrates. I actually feel sorry for her for the simple fact that her soul is so dark that it prevents her from seeing the good things in this world.

Bonnie, The unwed teen pregnancy rate increases every time an unwed teenager gets pregnant, not every time an unwed teenager gives birth. The unwed teen pregnancy rate is a combination of live births, abortions, and miscarriages experienced by unwed teenagers. Would you like to try again to make a coherent argument?

Nicknames for months is lame . . . utilizing painstaking time and effort to write your blog about it is idiotic and absurd.

David of ID 1:02PM April 15, 2010

Oh Bonnie, I just love it when your twisted logic mingles with your lack of character and morality - If the result wasn't so darkly evil it would be entertaining. Say, was your mom "subjugated", kept "bare foot and pregnant" down on the farm?

Now, run along and write another of your slobbering-blubbering columns about your concern for old horses while the abortion clinics continue butcher babies and ruin women's lives - all for the illusion of, "liberating personal convenience" .
