Bonnie you are the only voice I've heard or seen in print to say that everything we need costs more. The 99 cent stores are now $1.49 + stores. what is the govt. talking about?

Toyota and Ford are make in China beside those Utility items in your home. oh yeah one more thing come out from CA my state they no longer cover for BBQ oven at the beach for the public use them because there are no more money in the budget to keep main tain them for the public using just like no park toilet they need money to keep those stuff maintaining up and runing, so long for BBQ at the beach

Once the government bean counters back out the "volatiles" of; food, energy, household products and housing there is no problem. For instance, if you need a truck load of cement or a gross of Chinese calculators I think you'd find those prices are pretty stable.

Perhaps you and other journalists can get together and prove that the "consumer price index" we are fed is undoubtedly a massive fraud spanning decades. One only needs to look to oil, gas, housing, food, health care and college education to know that the lower prices of Chinese shoes, clothing made in Bangladesh, and HDTV's from God knows where cannot possible have balanced this out to the "low rates" of inflation constantly quoted.

I used to be an accountant, and accountants are skeptical by nature. CPI is a hoax. GDP may very well be a hoax too.
