I agree with Gorman of MD, lets get some people with common sense and do away with the Ivy League Liberals

Marc of FL 5:07AM February 14, 2010

Sarah shops for some of her clothes in thrift shops. Being ecologically friendly by not wasting paper seems to me liberals should applaud.

Great point about 6th graders. I’ll remember that one.

You are sooo mean saying ‘tea bagger .’. But , no argument from me. Have found these authors (at least one) has used that bad word.

“this too shall pass .”

So true. Fox news rules and going strong. ‘Fair and balanced’. I forced myself recently to watch CNN. WoW, what a change from last time I watched. Still not worth watching, they are just restraining their political left wing agenda. Non-conservative news outlets generally speaking are doing poorly.

I am use to conservative political talking site. Facts and proof for your position expected. I never never never saw a liberal not end up cussing and insulting. Progressives just left. If my stance was so weak I would develop a new one. It had a small number of contributors so you got called out on your statements. You really developed a data base of knowledge.

I would much rather have a public college educated Woman taught by unbiased instructors than have a child/man as president who pofesses to having been educated by the ivy league LIBERAl professionals

J O'Gorman of MD 1:09PM February 10, 2010

Someone commented about the intelligence of Jimmy Carter?? Are you kidding?? Check your facts idiot - when Carter left office the prime was 21.5%, unemployment was 12.3%, inflation was 14.6% -- shall I continue? Oh yes - we had our embassy officials still being held (after over 400 days) in some hell hole in Iran. God - how our enemies feared us!.

That my friend was the worst economy since the Great Depression. And - Reagan - with all his non-elitist smarts fixed it all. Geeez - you must be the proud outcome of our public education system.

Jack Bauer of FL 12:35PM February 10, 2010

Yes - imagine if Obama had written "hope and change" on his hand. Or - imagine that he had to use a TelePrompTer to speak to a bunch of 12 year old kids. "Are you smarter than a 5th grader?"

And . . . if only he had jotted down a note to himself that reminded him that there are 50 states in this great country NOT 57 as he stated on a stump speech.

Golly - you folks must really be afraid of Sarah if all you can throw at her are the notes she wrote on her hand. By the way -- keep a close eye on her because I have heard that she is going to show her hand in her next speech. Written on it in bog bold letters are three words: "Bite me Gibbs!"

Mark Tea of VA 12:28PM February 10, 2010

heavens tagging a staunch conservative as a looney lib is even worse than mistaking a zealous lefty for a fervent rightwinger . . . auck what are the blogs coming to? {and being caught in the middle is sometimes no picnic either}

however I do believe that it was TINA FEY who declared that she could see Russia from her house . . . obviously commenters spend way too much time on the internet soaking up bobble headed talking points and not enough free time watching SNL

in regards to the "Alaskan version of the teleprompter" - ya gotta hand it to Ms. Palin for being so thrifty & resourceful

hey - it's not like having to haul in two teleprompters & a presidential podium to give a speech to a bunch of sixth graders;-)

and what's up with the prime time lectures anyway . . . does the country really need a "National Nanny" to police our unruly behavior

so say what you will about Sarah . . . she certainly seems to have a knack for connecting to small town Americana -- as opposed to highfalutin Hyde Park-Kenwood {perhaps if he rehearsed NOT talking down to the people so much?}

ps dear ms. erbe - don't fret -- I for one never mistook y'all for a tea bagger

. . . and by now the writers for USNWR should know that the MORE passionate fans of SOME politicians are not always the most rational & well behaved bloggers on the wide wonderful world of the web

not to worry though - this too shall pass . . . just as the snow will soon melt on the hill - although alas not necessarily leaving a permanent thaw

Judge Judy_"Usually when something does not sound right, it isn’t". I know Sarah is not dumb. When you mentioned:

“she lied about what founding father she most admired (because she didn't know any of them and even Glenn Beck called her out on it),”

Well Tree, here is the video:

http://dekerivers.wordpress.com/2010/01/14/sarh-palin-clearly-not-aware-of-founding-fathers-glenn-beck-calls-her-answer-bull-crap/

I believe G. Washington is a founding father ? I did nor hear Glenn Beck call her out on it. He did want her to pick one. She said G. Washington and he did not want to be King. Which there was talk of that.

Tree you also said:

“Rich, sorry you were lacking in the brain department as well and it took you five schools to finally get your degree. I wouldn't consider you more intelligent than most Ivy League graduates either.”

I look for and read Rick’s comments. He writes good solid comments and not a insulter. Have found no mistakes.

You on the other hand I have.

I am curious about your other examples, but I must go to bed. Do not have time to check.

"Death Panels? Sarah Palin Was Right"

"What she (Sarah) wrote was: “Government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course.”

"How could anyone believe Palin’s sensible comment about rationing was, in reality, a senseless fear of counseling? To say so was no mistake; it was an oft-repeated big lie."

http://www.cato-at-liberty.org/2009/12/22/death-panels-sarah-palin-was-right/

So TREE, you misquoted Sarah. You are wrong. Spend you own time checking out your other so-called evidence.

You base you dislike on lies. At least on this point. Maybe you should re-think your position. That is what reasonable people do.
