What Would Jesus Do? Not Bless the Prosperity Gospel

This teachings is not biblical, they're trying to twist the word of God by applying their human understanding. The bible is very clear that Christ died for our sins meaning for our salvation. "And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will have mercy on whom I will have mercy" (Exodus 33:19b). I pray for these people that someday God will open their heart and mind that may teach the true teaching of Jesus Christ.

They are trying to brainwash the mind of the other Christians to engage on prosperity gospel for their own purpose just to prosper themselves. Other preachers here in the Philippines embrace the same teaching for their own benefit and its really out of the true gospels.

Anyone tempted to send money to one of these jerks should think of these names... Swaggart, Haggard, Baker, to name but a few. The money goes in their pockets, as you should expect... and any "God" that would demand that you send your money to anyone to be saved, or to plant a seed, or for any reason, is unworthy of our worship. And these lying "preachers", these blood sucking creeps, deserve to be in jail.

You teabagging lover, you like it slapped right across your face.Bingo it is. I'll even cut them sideburns for you, boy. . Jesus doesn't care to be disrespected by your type. I could make a man out of you liberal boy!

JaJa hit the nail on the head. Presently, with over 30,000 sects of Christianity throughout the world, it appears what Jesus would do is as far away from Christian understanding as the question, "Why would God let innocent humans starve en masse?" The reality is that Jesus isn't here to answer that question. If he was, he would be crucified all over again by his own followers who could never believe they gave so much money to such a liberal cause.

I've heard TV preacher Joel Osteen say that, "Jesus wants you to get that good parking space". I've also seen wingnuts argue that Jesus would be against univeral health care saying, "He did't heal EVERYBODY". It's just another argument for separation of church and state.

The problem is that even the Christians can't agree on what "Christian Principles" are. Oh, I can eat meat on Friday now? Can I marry my 13 year old cousin? Can I marry her sister too? My statue is bleeding, what should I do? Man invented the horse drawn buggy and the automobile, but we're only allowed to use the buggy? Gambling and card playing are evil, but don't forget about Bingo on Saturday night! Can I cut my sideburns?

Is like the KKK grandmaster talking civil rights. It rings very very hollow.

The process of predicting what the current U.S. president has already said, done via a blackout trackable in terms of where holes happened in it due to the national condition in which he is allowed "three word fragments" (example: "insurance companies are irrational," that's from early summer) is too complex to go into now. Still I should post something.

In 2002, then, no discussion took place of the nature of Al-Queda's reasoning or lack thereof. It was as if the loss of life and the nature of it were so great that there need be no questions about the attack in total. And this went on very smoothly, this absence of a need to interpret the forces that actually led to the attack---instead of a lesser attack.

Notice how hyphens work well there. But starting last year, in other words starting two full years back, the above contradiction began to vanish, without a trace. What was it replaced by? Here's a suggestion. It was replaced by what undoubtedly was said today, Tuesday evening, once again, although of course the blackout meant precludes knowledge of it on the part of this writer. So what replaced the "smooth sailing" on the winds of September 11 was a kind of shaky picture of a fragmented shell, domestic significantly of age sons and daughters being the shell ("adults" is a cliche), and this shattered "shell" became the dominant thing, a shell that could barely withstand further complexities.

Bonnie I find that you and I disagree far, far more than we agree when you write your commentary, but here I agree. I believe the prosperity gospel is clear perversion of Jesus' message. Jesus never condemned riches, but he always condemned those who believed that being rich made them in some way better. He did have a heart for the poor and those the world left behind. The Apostle Paul warned his readers that "the love of money is the cause of all kinds of evil." Some of the Bible teachers who proclaim the perversion need to read the rest of the book.

Let me say it again, the prosperity gospel sometimes known as "name it and claim it" is a perversion of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
