House Healthcare Abortion Ban Would be Widespread

Yes, Bonnie, I will absolutely agree with you that this is a crazy world we inhabit and this is one of the craziest aspects as far as I'm concerned as well if you can prove to me that what is inside the woman from conception and there afterward is not a human being such as yourself.

I would like to make you aware of some very simple and basic truths that even elementary aged children get and understand but the simple minded "intellectual types" such as yourselves who have been wounded somewhere along the way seem to not be able to grasp. I believe that you and others like yourselves don't put enough worth on your own lives to be able to see the worth in someone else's life unless that person is a grown adult who likes to philosiphize and went to college at Bezerkley.

Each person from the time of conception is a whole human being who is at a different stage in development; just as a one week old baby is at a different stage in development from a 13 year old girl. There is nothing magical that happens at the time when the baby travels down the birth canal and is born that makes it more of a human being than when it is in its earliest stages of development. This is very basic science that any human being with a kindergarden education understands.

And how does a persons status or financial situation play any role in whether or not they should end the life of their baby in the womb? Would you tell the mother on the steets that she should kill her 2 year old toddler because she just simply cannot feed her child anymore? No, you would say, of course not. And I would say why? And you would say what? Bonnie, you would say because it's just not right, wouldn't you? Well, my point exactly. Your argument is null and void when it comes to abortion rights darling. Any kindergardner will tell you.

So, Bonnie I could go on and on and on arguing my point and dismissing your stance that you have to be some religious nut to believe in the right to live. Sorry, but I think it is kind of nice that I was "allowed" to be born aren't you? Or maybe you're not... maybe that's the difference.

I apologize for any gramatical errors, I did not spend my life reading philosophy books at Yale or Bezerkely! And I have to get back to work.

The Liberals means of birth control. Child killers are liberal women. Hey why not when most of them are really saving us of their mistakes over again. Hey liberals keep aborting!

I need some help here...can someone explain to me why an abortion qualifies for insurance coverage? I mean is it a disease, is it a condition like cancer, ESRD, CHF, the flu?

I do not get why I should fund the result of someones indiscretion or lack of knowing how babies are made other than if the lack of treatment could have an adverse affect on the individual. What am I missing here? If giving birth is a burden perhaps the individuals engaged in creating the life they want to abort should have a procedure enabling them only the ability to shoot blanks.

Thanks

Where do you and your liberal friends get this sense of entitlement? It's an honest question that none of you want to address.

I mean really. Perhaps you'd like a government employee to show up at your house and spoon feed you so you wont have to exert effort?

Get real. Who is letting who go without insurance? Your contention is that I'm supposed to feel so sorry for you in your miserable condition that I'm supposed to sacrifice my family and their needs inorder to meet your health care needs?! I don't think so. Especially, if you don't care enough to do something about your health care to begin with.

So if you want entitlement, move back in with mom and dad.

Understand that nobody is saying you can't have health care. You have the freedom to go get it. It's out there and it's available. It's called Medicaide and Medicare. Oh, but you don't qualify because you're not disabled. Great then your able to work. So get a job. McDonalds has health care for it's employees. Go flip burgers. Convenience stores have health plans. In fact, there are even health plans specifically for the uninsured. Go on line. Do your research. They are expensive. But that's the price you pay for doing nothing. Maybe you'll have to sell the boat or break open your 401K nest egg. But don't milk my wallet just so you can keep your precious nest egg.

You might even try a proactive approach. Give up the cigarettes, meth, and booze. Try going to the gymn once in a while. Try eating carrots instead of grease burgers.

But to sit there and pathetically bleat and complain about it is asinine. As is the attempt to have government force everyone to open their collective wallets to pay for something that you should be doing for yourself.

Oh, and guess what, Ponce De Leon never did find the fountain of youth. Guess that means we are all going to check-out sooner or later. To the best of my knowledge, modern medicine hasn't figure out a way to keep us here indefinately. So grow-up and accept the fact that people get sick and people die. It's called LIFE.

elective surgical procedures or prescriptions should be included? Perhaps the government should ensure that face-lifts, tummy-tucks, botox, et.al. are included since those too are CHOICES made by people. Perhaps the government should also ensure that marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, et.al are included since those too are CHOICES made by people.

Perhaps the author would be better served by writing about the other choices being eliminated by the government like mammograms and cervical exams which have proven to save lives instead of writing about a selfish, non-existent right. Those are real intrusions on a woman's body and her choices instead of the killing of a viable human life which is only half of her DNA.

Is it because the ability to be a nurturing mother escapes them? And why do they have to gloat over their ability to slaughter their own offspring? I guess it makes them feel tough.

It is appalling how many people are willing to let millions go without insurance in order to control the abortion issue. The language was already in the bill to prevent payment of abortion. -Premiums and medical costs are unsustainable.

Stupak and Pitts forgot to include the language on how all the live births would be paid for and just how families would pay for the extra state taxes for welfare/Medicaid to support these children.

Before the all of the self-righteous speeches, do the math. There is is an economic reality to a million more live births, like it or not. ($5k for each) Where would the orphanges come from for those given up for adoption?

If women have no choice, then neither should the male that impregnated her. Bring back shot gun weddings and a guy should commit one half of income to this child also. This is part of the 'play u pay' rationale, too. Much more government will be needed to enforce payment of child support and more jails. Our child welfare systems are barely functional now, so more government needed there, too.

Someone please tell me about all the great programs by the pro-lifers and the Catholic Church to prevent pregnancy in the the first place. (Then there are the Fundies who do not want no sex ed whatsoever.)I say walk the talk first. Soapboxes are easy to hop on.

This is economic reality of what people are advocating-the big picture. Again, do the math, people.
