from FLORIDA to: America...Let it be known that Florida now has the potential of TAR.Generated by oil rigs that will be able to set up within THREE miles from the shoreline for their oil drilling. How "special" Gov.Charlie. WE, the people will ALWAYS remember you!

Just what the loyal opposition needs: advice and counsel from the very people they are trying to defeat. What unmitigated arrogance this Erbe person displays. Arrogance, combined with ignorance and some fear. Obviously this vapid excuse for a writer is a delusional paranoid, living in fear that Palin/Cheney/Limbaugh/Rove might actually form a winning coalition in 2010 and 2012. Why else dispense grade school advice to HER opposition? Pathetic. It is truly amazing that drivel such as hers gets published. Then again publications such as this are a dying breed. By 2012 they should be in a state of rigor mortis. Currently they are displaying a state of severe dementia.

When you can no longer determine Moderate Republicans from Democrats why bother? The American people will still lose.

McCain lost because he didn't inspire REAL Republicans and Obama won by inspiring the young and inexperienced voters.

I hope they become educated as to the ways of politics and realize the only "change" they got was the same old Democratic Spend-and-tax instead of the usual Tax-and-spend.

At the rate the Democrats are destroying the economy and this country, I can only hope we get the same real conservative shift we experienced after Carter.

Hopefully we'll have a USA left and haven't had China "foreclose" on it's TOXIC (um, legacy) asset.

How in the hell is that not a contradiction? I got it, you're a liberal, and flip-flopping is by default in your nature, but could you just try ONCE to stay consistent?

You like Crist, and obviously recognize the difference between meek pushover "conservatives" and strong principled conservatives, yet you still go back to this stupid us vs them crap with " it's time to throw the toxic trash out by removing all trace of Repubs from the seats of power"

Then again it proves my point that squishy mods aren't really accepted by Dems, it's not like they're gaining new votes. Libs just like moderates because: they attack conservatives, and they're easy targets. If moderates were so damn popular, then why are McCain and Specter fearing for their political lives?

Charlie Crist is the Repubs one and only hope of retaining their Senate seat in Fla yet look at the lowest rung of the Repubs attacking Crist.

I'm going to say "sorry Charlie" in the voting booth. You seem like a nice enough guy, Charlie, but it's time to throw the toxic trash out by removing all trace of Repubs from the seats of power. It's simply who you roll with, Charlie, that's going to be your undoing.

All of my life I have idenitified my self as a conservative republican. Due to some of the moderate crap from George Bush and last year's nomination of John McCain, I no longer identify with the Republican party and will no longer automatically vote that way. I didn't leave the party, the party left me. If a candidate is not conservative enough for me, I will simply not vote and dare I say there are alot of people just like me. I am not going to help the country continue to go down the tubes. So the republicans can just keep on nominating moderate people and keep losing elections.

Open your eyes folks this guy will be the final nail in Floridas coffin! You really want him in a higher office, careful what you wish for. He'll say one thing and do another. And make deals with the devil to cover his butt at our expense. Wake Up!

Gov. Crists is a moderate republican and will probably win the Florida Senate seat. He would be unable to win a national election, just as John MaCain was. Principal wins elections. That is why Obama beat Hillary and McCain. McCain only put principal over being effective on the subject of torture. As far as I can tell Hillary did not do it anywhere. I don't agree with a number of Obama's beliefs, but he seems to follow his principals. Gun rights, abortion, etc. are not the basis, it is taking conservative stances based on principal that will win for republicans. Principal was the basis of Regan's popularity and Obama's.

The fact that so many of the Republican Core dismiss a person like Charlie Crist out of hand says it all to me. Here is someone who can speak intelligently, who is a moderate Conservative and has been a very well liked governor in a moderately conservative state full of older people. He is not a firebrand, but a pragmatist. He is not a blowhard, but a calm, thoughtful and forward thinking consensus builder. He is obviously too good for the Republicans, so they will throw stones at him. Oh well!

It's funny when I say conservative, you go right to the boogeymen of what 'conservatism' is.

Did you not note my last comment referencing Tea Parties and New Zealand...Or did you just want to mock social conservative?

Now New Zealand is hardly the bastion of social conservatism (prostitution is legal) and the Tea Parties were hardly about abortion.

I talking fiscal conservatism...Low Tax, Private Enterprise, Free Market, Small (with a big S) government and personal freaking responsibility...

Look at the lib haven of California which is the litmus test of the lib formula...I assume it must be doing even better financially than all other states in the union because it isn't muddle down with any conservative meddling.
