Weak Gun Control Laws Show America is Crazy, Numb to Violence

If every one gets their handguns from someone else by going over the boarder or under the table simple solution more boarder restrictions right, Wrong PROFILE CHECK. Yeah it's not illegal and it saves time. Everything you want to know about anyone could be found by profile check. If you have felonies related to drugs, guns, or anything else your car, bag, ect. should be checked , if you have no felonies you should have easier plane boarding, border crossing , and other sucure things. Guns don't kill people, people kill people. We should have handguns harder to obtain.

The guns that are used in most violent crimes in Canada are manufactured and sold in the USA which are then smuggled over the border. It's really quite simple; if handguns were not sold in the US there would be far fewer deaths by gun shot in both countries. Handguns are easily concealed; it takes approximately 2.2 lbs of pressure to shoot. In a flash of a moment anyone over the age of 4 has the power to shoot a gun.

I think that part of the constitution was just fine when it was written, but is not relevant now.

Hey,

This website provides me a lot of information regarding state labor laws which is definitely quite helpful. I really find it easy to read such data on the net.

Might I say that all you have said is wonderful and well meaning, however, you have not once addressed the simple fact that it is an unalienable right (as stated in the Constitution) to own and bare arms. until the fill good people like yourself and a few liberal politicians change this unalienable right, or until all criminals everywhere have laid down their guns, I think that i shall continue to observe the right to bare arms.

No amount of feel good philosphy is going to change the fact that crime exist, and has existed from the times of Cain and Abel, when there were no guns.

It's simple... you are a naive idiot. Do you think that keeping guns from good citizens, it will somehow stop the bad ones from attaining them and using them?

There's nothing left to say because you obviously live in some foo foo la la land where nobody has a need to defend themselves. Try living in a place where your life and your home is actually in danger... whether the criminals have guns or not and tell me why you don't need one.

Idiot. You only see what you want to see... you close your eyes to the reality of the world.

Killing a human being puts you directly in the shoes of a criminal so to speak. It really doesn’t make you any better than a criminal himself, carrying a concealed or openly carried firearm only puts you on the list of those who add to the murder’s who kill people with a gun for your own protection.

Coffee shop giant Starbucks Corp. was forced recently to wade into the gun rights debate, reluctantly saying it would allow customers to openly carry firearms into its stores, as long as they are in compliance with local laws. “I don’t think having at the next table a guy with a gun is a relaxing way to drink a coffee,” said Jill Lucas of the group Protest Easy Guns, which is pressing for more background checks on gun owners and tougher gun control laws as a way to stem gun violence. Come on really, who’s going to rob you in a coffee store. They ask for your wallet or all your money more than anything. Oh, my life is over he took something I can replace, why would you carry tons of money with you any way, your just asking to get robbed by doing that. A restaurant or coffee place or bowling alley or even a pizza place, these are all suppose to be relaxing places to enjoy yourself but when people have guns that vanishes completely.

Carrying a gun out in the open is telling people you have a right to kill someone if you feel it is necessary. The increase in carrying firearms in the open only increases the death rate by a gun, 100 times what it is now. Carrying a gun around you makes others uneasy and not even noncriminal people would want to be around you. “It’s a personal responsibility to defend your life in the event of an attack.” 23 year old student Elizabeth Webb. When defending your life, you would fight with your fists and feet. Using a gun to kill the attacker only puts bloodshed on your hands which not necessary. Killing someone is something that just doesn’t go away it is branded in your brain.

now, i won't claim that i completely understand and know how to solve all of our governments problems (i mean, i'm just a 15 year old high school student who just happens to be researching this topic for her pre ap english 2 essay) but i have an opinion of my own.

you know how there's always the 4 groups of people who are always saying either:

1. "guns don't kill people, people kill people"

2. "having a gun makes me feel safer"

3. "if you take the guns away from all the civilians and law abiders, then it will only incourage people to commit more crimes"

4. "guns are the cause of evrything, get rid of them and everything will be better" (i personaly think this group is retarded)

well:

1. yes, true. but guns are one of the most convenient weapons and make killing in bulk extremely easy

2. how many people have you ever heard actually succeding in protecting themselves with there conceled carry? really now.

3. this one i agree with the most but wtf else can the gov do? if they sat around and did nothing, all the people would revolt. so instead of sitting there and complaining about what they ARE trying to do to help us, actually try to help by giving them ideas on how else they could do something that actualy might help.

4. that's just a load of BS. the people who think that haven't actually looked into the problem very much and don't seem to really care about solving it. either that or like i said earlier, they are retards. if you take away all the guns, as seen in australia, all hell will break loose and we'll end up in an even worse situation (if that's even possible). try using your brain befor spewing all this bull caca out of it. you might soil someone.

all i'm trying to say is, quite debating about it and DO SOMETHING instead!!!

Switzerland has lowest crime rates and gun violence rates in the world.

Almost every man in Switzerland owns a firearm.

It's the people, not the guns.

The point of the second amendment is not so law abiding citizens can defend themselves from everyday robbers and rapists, and gangsters. No the second amendment was made so that the government cannot become totalitarian and rob us of our freedoms.

Mardi of XX says that you can do a lot more damage with a gun than you can with you bare hands, this is not true, if i grabbed your head with my bear hands and smashed it repeatedly into a brick wall, it would do more damage than any gun with the exception of a 50 cal rifle perhaps. guns only make the job faster and easier, they make a person irresistible.

this is why a gov't loves its people to be unarmed. it makes them irresistible, 100 soldiers with guns are able to make a mob of 5000 or more citizens drop to submission. if the mob or 5000 civilians went up against the 100 soldiers however, they would stand a good chance. (btw, the total us population vs. the number of people in the U.S. military is about 1000 to five, including all women and children, and liberals.)

do guns contribute to crime and how drastic the crimes are? maybe. i personally believe that if a person didn't have a gun, he would just use a knife, and if they didn't have a knife, they would use a pipe or crow bar. if someone has evil intentions, they will find a way to carry them out.

but enough about using guns to defend urself from everyday criminals everyone! the second amendment makes it possible to defend ourselves from the criminals and liars that run our government, dem, GOP, lib, ind, and any other party alike.

wouldn't they like to know of AZ 8:07PM November 19, 2009
