Obama's Trip to Europe a Success, Public Opinion-wise

You know Bonnie, the market is back up a little today. Every swing in the market is not Obama's fault. My own mutual fund has gone back up over 2.00/ share in the last month. Mind you, I have lost almost $40,000 so far. I don't blame Mr. Obama. It will come back when people take a deep breath and just put their shoulders to the wheel again. Our President is doing all he can.

Kevin when I was serving in the military we had Rumsfield stop at the base I was at. I don't think anyone want him to be there - especially the soldiers and airmen that had a vague understanding of who he was, but we would salute him all the same. Troops willingly embrace the president, even Bush, when he had a 19% approval rating.

I don't follow how you think Obama is connecting more with Muslim countries? Is it because he's Muslim in origin?

The overwhelming largest concern of Muslim countries is Israeli relations. Having Rahm Israel Emanuel as Chief of Staff demonstrates to the Muslims that American involvement is going to continue along the same path: Israeli interests carried out by American military force.

Moreover, the crazy jihadists are not going to persuaded by a single trip, and their state-funded backers are still receiving no repercussions. Why would any of the "Al-Qeada" stop wanting to attack Israel or the United States because of a speech on nuclear weapons and global economy?

Bonnie, pretty negative - huh!

I felt flush seeing Obama greet (and be greeted by) the troops.

Also, wonderful to have a President that can connect with Muslim countries; it improves our safety.

Obama's trip taken by Fox News Channel, or anyone else from the far right?
