The regulatory body and its duties are not written in stone. The important thing is that the G20 were able to come to a consensus. The international economists will attempt for the next several months to put in black and white the idealogy of the G20. I assure you, none of the nations want ANYONE to dictate to them what they can and cannot do. Therefore, this "regulatory body" will be thrown out. Hopefully, the economy will have righted itself by then and emergency thinking will have subsided.

Ms. Erbe asked me a couple of good questions. Here are my answers.

Who is the leader of the GOP reform movement? Right now, there is no single leader, nor should we expect one. As Charles Krauthammer says: "The idea that 72 days into the new regime, the opposition in a non-parliamentary system would have a face, or some unity, or even some overall philosophical consistency is merely silly. We do not have a shadow Cabinet. Let a thousand flowers bloom."

Who will be the GOP's enemy? Right now, President Obama is popular, but there are plenty of other political targets: Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Tim Geithner, Charlie Rangel, John Murtha -- to name just a few. A party that controls the government will never fail to produce objects of criticism.

Yes Indeed, Our L&S Obama walking away fully erect with excitement from the G-20 has SOLD THE FARM. 250 Billion of the SDR (YOUR new world currency) has been authorized by (OUR?) leaders to be issued by the IMF (International Monetary Fund). In addition, the new FSB (Financial Stability Board) controlled by the IMF has been authorized with the mandate:

The FSB is to "collaborate with the IMF to provide early warning of macroeconomic and financial risks and the actions needed to address them,... reshape our regulatory systems so that our authorities are able to identify and take account of macro-prudential risks,…extend regulation and oversight to all systemically important financial institutions, instruments and markets. This will include, for the first time, systemically important hedge funds; ..endorse and implement the FSF’s tough new principles on pay and compensation and to support sustainable compensation schemes and the corporate social responsibility of all firms;...take action, once recovery is assured, to improve the quality, quantity, and international consistency of capital in the banking system. In future, regulation must prevent excessive leverage and require buffers of resources to be built up in good times."

Further good news... this "agreement" allows in 2011 to remove the EU and USA control of the IMF basically to the highest bidder. Say hello CHINA, who by that time given the Obama/Pelosi spending spree will OWN US. We will no longer have the "economic clout" to counter so the only other option will be to cave-in or war.

And Obama thought Bush left HIM a MESS?

Rush Limbaugh has not a clue where to the country or the republican party should go. To keep the republican party without any proper dirction Obama is building him up.

Political backstabbing. The Congressional Idiots. Politicians running business.

Left Wing Freaks and Right Wing Nut Jobs going at it like savages.

Goodbye USA. We had our chance and blew it.

Americans need to do the old finger point exercise. 4 fingers pointing back etc...

Why we continue to put up with incompetent leadership is beyond me. You see this everywhere: In industry, government, religion, and Media.

We are going to feel what it is like to live like 2nd World citizens. John Kennedy and Martin Luther King Jr. are spinning in their graves right now.

A black president is no better or worse than a white or yellow president. John and Martin knew this. They called it Character.

For those of you who slept through K-6 here's a refresher:

Luther, whoever you are, are you imbibing some illegal substance? Obama's depression? How on earth do you figure that (assuming you're not high on some funny weed)? You Republicans have spent the last 20 years harping on deregulation, the wisdom of free markets and the benevolence of free trade. That is why our economy is destroyed, why you are on the outside looking in, and that is why your party will not exist in 10 years. You dudes had your opportunity, and you blew it, BIG TIME! Poor Obama has to clean up Bush's latrines, just like everyone in that sad excuse for a leader's personal history. Now not even Daddy Bush Senior will volunteer for that thankless job.

A little early to count out Herbert Barack Obama as an enemy of the people. He's still on his honeymoon, but then George Bush had a 92% approval rating at one time. If Herbert Barack Obama leads us into mega-Depression with his mega-spending and mega-deficits, his approval ratings may fall to mega-low.

It was not "Government" that gave you a porn-drenched society with 20% of your teens "sexting" each other on the cell phones and the other 80% lost in video games or ipod tuneout

It was not "Government" that gives YOU an employment contract that insists YOU sign onto "employment at will"---have your job taken at ANY time for ANY reason or NO reason---with you "agreeing" in advance.

It was not "Government that gave you credit cards with interest rates that can be arbitrarily hiked to 30% interest.

Before you listen again to somebody reviving Reagan from the grave with "IT'S GOVERNMENT THAT IS THE PROBLEM", YOU HAD BETTR WISE UP. Corporations are your problem, and Republicans (far from "dead") will be doing everything they can in 2010 and 2012 to cause you to think something else.

Muser of NM 3:01PM April 01, 2009

The enemies of the nation and it's people are clear.

The HUGE defecit and unfortunate ignorance of American voters as to what this means for the USA.

At this point, the Republicans do not have a leader. Neither do the democrats. Neither does the USA.
