Vatican Accepting Darwin is a Blow to Intelligent Design Fantasy

Dear Mr. Luskin: I understand your abhorrence for name-calling. I'm not in love with it either.

But if you're going to publish online, get used to it. The Internet is the Wild West of the publishing world.

I have one more thing to say to you. Even the Vatican is giving credence to Darwin. And while it's certainly not abandoning outdated religious notions of how we and our planet came to be, when the Vatican admits it was wrong, it makes those who are still trying to peddle Intelligent Design look that much sillier.

I do not mean to insult you or anyone else. But when people take things "on faith" that have no evidentiary genesis in fact, those of us who rely on science and reality have a hard time believing that educated persons such as yourself still buy into fantasy.
