I guess my blog got deleted due to the candid remarks I made...no freedom of expression? The others have the priviledge of voicing their views. I guess mine were too honest.

A naturally occurring multiple birth is rare but when that happens, American society is more that generous to help families who planned their conception with forethought but nature gave them special needs. In a time when the earths population is nothing short of humans, it would be not only fiscally responsible but morally and ethically required that we outlaw medical procedures that but mother and baby at risks. If we as a nation really care about children we should encourage and support safe, bureaucracy free adoptions of the many children who so desperately need a loving home. I am against even surrogacy, but to ban it at this time would be too controversial. In Vitro however, is again, an un-neccessary and unregulated procedure which does nothing to improve child welfare and we have legal surrogate arrangement laws and adoption options that need dire attention in this country.

Nadya Suleman was not the first to do this dangerous, self centered procedure without any thought to the care of these children nor will she be the last until In Vitro is banned. This week a couple gave birth via In Vitro to 4 babies, this married couple have no insurance, they didn't plan on multiples but again if this was about loving a child, they should have adopted. Nature may seem cruel by it's decision to make some of us unable to conceive, however with emphasis on being a loving adopted parent instead of the vanity both parents to be and a child in need can find true happiness.

Who donated the sperm used for fertilization? In California, a State heavily biased toward the woman's rights at childbirth, one would think that the State would go after the Father. While I am not versed in reproductive & in vitro implantation law that may prevent this I know from experience that California has had that mind-think in the past. I paid 17 years of child support for a child and was never given the opportunity for all concerned to submit to a DNA test. The mother just placed my name on the birth certificate at the hospital and that was that. Let's get the Father to chip in as well!!

I am a Southern California Native & I can honestly tell you that every one whom I've spoken to including Mothers, Fathers and Grandparents alike will all agree that this woman is trying to abuse the system. She is trying to play the sympathy card so the public will give her money. She has created a web site with the ability of taking payments via credit card or pay pal and it just disgusts me to no end. I hope all of you turn your backs on this woman and not make her rich by purchasing a book, watching her on TV or donating money to her. She will receive thousands of dollars a month from the State of California in Welfare Payments and it maybe around $6500.00 a month. Ultimately she will be getting over $100,000.00 a year in government aid to help her with all 14 children in a state that is nearly bankrupt. I urge all of you not to give this woman a dime. I know it’s not the children’s fault and I sincerely hope that Child Protective Services will step in and place these children in good homes. She is clearly not a sane person and should not be allowed to care for this many babies when she is unable to care for herself.

Thank You,

A California Native & Resident

I try to limit my visits to the doctor, even though I have medicare. There are so many things that medicare doesn't even care for, so I want to know who pays for her procedures and hospital care for the babies.

This may sound crazy (so does a licensed medical professional agreeing to be a part of this) but maybe the IVF doctor was afraid to say no to her because she has some dirt on him. Afterall, wasn't he the one who performed all of her IVF procedures? He had to know she was pushing for too many kids all along. Why else would a doctor be so careless?

Nobody is really mentioning much about the fact that she was receiving workers' compensation for the better part of 8 years. I think she got somewhere in the neighborhood of $165,000.00 in temporary disability payments. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS IN CALIFORNIA, IT MEANS SHE WAS STATING TO A DOCTOR THAT SHE WAS PHYSICALLY UNABLE TO DO HER JOB AND HER CRAZY WORK COMP DOCTORS BELIEVED HER!!!!!!

She wasn't just unemployed since 1999. She was on workers' comp! She was getting money to be home and recover physically from her work-related injury. Explain to me how she can go through 5 pregnancies (6 children) and then go through a 6th pregnancy (8 babies) and be so physically hurt from her work comp injury that she couldn't work. If you ask me, she should be brought up on workers' comp fraud charges. She was obviously lying to some doctor about her ability to work!!! Seems to me maybe the whole reason she couldn't work was because she has spent the better part of 54 months (4.5 years) pregnant. I am not saying a woman can't work when she's pregnant, but obviously this one couldn't because she was telling a work comp doctor she couldn't work. I've never been pregnant, but doesn't it have the potential to exacerbate a back injury? Crazy woman. I also think these kids should be taken away from her and given up for adoption and I think she aught to be sterilized. She's too crazy to have kids.

Forgive me but I am watching the Dateline interview with this mother I think she is nuts! I notice she must of had injections to her lips which looks hidious and I also notice she has her nails done. This is a woman who could not afford the six children she already had but decided to go out an have even more children. How dare this woman refer to what is meant to be when she did this artificially. Please understand I have NO PROBLEM with people who opt for IVF but those who can afford to take care of these children. This is a woman who clearly cannot! These new babies are innocent in this whole fiasco. They will have to endure many hurdles to live healthy lives. Listening to this woman has me furious, it is clear she is absolutely NUTS! Her own mother thinks she is not thinking clearly I fear this will not have a good outcome.

I think the best thing that should be done since she cannot afford all those kids and to save taxpayers tons of money they should be put up for adoption!! There are many MARRIED couples in this country that would love to have a baby and can afford them but cannot have their own. It is not right for her to keep those babies when she can't even take care of the ones she already had! And also, that fertility doctor needs to be fired!!
