Great work, webmaster, nice design!

I don't see why everyone is so against killing babies, we have been doing it forever and if Bush and Hillary and all can send our troops to war, why can't we rid ourselves of these pesky creatures? Obama needs to protect our rights to open up hunting season on the varmint that litter our lives because a few accidents we make in the heat of passion or during an act of violence. If Obama wants us to pay the repercussions, I say impeach him and get someone with a backbone and who is liberal enough so we can kill these fetuses. While he's at it, we have paved the way for gay rights now... How long will we suffer for our desire for beastiality and a wanton to lower the age level for sex. I hate these friggin right-winged moral lovers. THEY RUIN EVERYTHING!

I am a Republican and voted for McCain/Palin.

I am very concerned over Obama's reaction to Rush Limbaugh's comments. Someone should inform the President that me, Rush, Obama, and everyone who reads this are allowed to do what Rush did because he is an American. Has Obama forgotten about "Freedom of Speech"? Does he plan to take that away from us also?

"the most recent group he threw over the side was women" - all of us? As a woman, you don't speak for me. So don't write like you speak for all women. You don't.

There are several points of offense in this letter, but I'll focus on one. You are right in that there is no common ground with radicals. But "radical" is in the eye of the beholder. I find it radical that pro-choice forces here in TX don't want a pregnant woman to see an ultrasound or hear the heartbeat of the child whose life she is considering terminating. Why? I consider it radical that my daughter can have a terrible headache, but without my permission she can not be given a measly Tylenol, but she can get an abortion without my knowledge. How come radical pro-choicers won't try to seek common ground on these two issues which seem like common sense to many?

There are radicals in every movement -- please tell me when the last time a abortionist was killed. It's been years - like 1993. Good grief! And how unbalanced not to comment in the same breath that when a radical does act, it is immediately decried by leaders in the pro-life movement. I would assert that is not the case with egregious acts of terror done by certain groups. But those groups aren't primarily Christian, so they aren't game in the open season.

And I must mention the trash comment - I was in DC on Thursday for the March & took my trash with me, thank you very much. Seems convenient that you didn't mention that 1.6 million people had been in town two days previous & that they may have left a few shreds of it as well. The city was full of vehicles doing all kinds of things to clean up after the inauguration.

I'm sure the cold weather on Tuesday & the pleasant weather on Thursday was the scourge of the "radical" right as well. Maybe all those "uber-Christians" had God's ear that one day; we were granted great weather & a delay in Mexico City policy.

Where is our country's (and our president's) moral compass when we find it acceptable for women to indiscriminatley destroy the life of a child (or soon to be a child depending on your prepective) so she can have an evening of pleasure with no consequence. The same society that condones abortion of an innocent unborn child feels it must spare the life of stoned killer on our death rows. Tell me - which has the right to live?

Cedric Tucker of TX 9:15PM January 26, 2009

Ms. Erbe,

If you think that the pro-lifers leave behind trash, you ought to see the aftermath of Earth Day gatherings on the mall in April.

Signed,

Pro-Life Radical (deal with it!)

I'm sure the Capital Mall was packed with the "Uber-Christians" who left behind "mountains of garbage." Funny. I hope you readers aren't stupid enough to buy that mountain of garbage. It looked to me more like 1.3 million green hypocrites. Like the 600 hypocrites who flew private jets to be seen at the inauguration. And imagine the carbon footprint of the hypocrites who made the pilgrimage to see "The One" sworn in when they could have stayed home, watched it on TV, and had minimal impact on the environment. Hypocrites all.

There are many people, such as myself, that believe in inspiring a respect for God given human life, however, would never condone or overlook the hypocricy of anyone that would do violence against or take the lives of abortion providers. People certainly have the right to make their opinions known about this, or any other issue, however we all have to remember the goal is not to end the debate with fists flying or screaming in each others faces. Obviously this accomplishes or changes nothing. I have said for many years that I believe sometimes our culture works against young peoples biological time clocks. I have known families that their children have graduated from high school or attended college for a year and decided to marry the person they have been dating. I have always believed that whether a married couple uses contraceptives or not is between them and God, obviously some of these married young people that are attending college together, or both establishing careers, use reliable birth control methods. Others may choose to wait to get through college or establish their career before marrying, however, changing the culture from some of the continious sexual pressure on young people is a very important part of helping to re-establish a respect for God given human life. I appreciate those musical artists, actors et cetera that are trying to have a positive influence in this area. I would like to say I certainly believe it is possible to be respectful in the way we present our views and find common ground. I believe their are many fine women in the Concerned Women for America. I have also worked with some fine women in the National Organization for Women after my daughter came close to an encounter with a child molester several years ago. The NOW was very helpful in gaining public notification for Sex Offenders in the state of MO. I find we have several areas of mutal concern such as women being paid fair and even wages as others are paid in the workforce. There are many men and women that are concerned about similar issues such as wages, stopping the flow of pornography, and helping inspire homes of mutal respect. I find when we try to use tact and wisdom in how we present our ideas we can help understand each others concerns and resolve issues. I have also given financially and of my time in helping organizations that help house unwed mothers in need of shelter. Once again, there are many people, such as myself, that desire to inspire a respect for God given human life and wish for a reasonable debate of the issues without name calling.

Mr President is it not hypocritical to swear on a Holy Book being elected to pledge, preach, promote "PEACE" for everyone but exclude those within the womb?

If this is the new age of "equality for all" whether black white, every culture, religion, or preference of lifestyle, and show mercy to law breakers and terrorists but not include those innocent of any crime against humanity.

How is this PEACE for "ALL".

More americans die in Americas Clinics than in Iraq.

where is the logic as Commander in Chief in defending the WHOLE NATION from harm?

Allan Lambert 7:29PM January 25, 2009

I do not pretend to speak for God.

I do not start a conversation by calling the other person a murderer.

I do not pretend to know when life begins or ends.

I do not talk, I act. I do not have children, and it was a decision I made, easily done with modern medical help.

So, act, don't talk. And don't pretend to know. Be open to what is.
