Barack Obama Should Replace Bill Richardson in Cabinet With Kathleen Sebelius

I find your tattling about Richardson a bit disgusting because it makes him sound like an idiot which he might be, but at this point his career with Obama is over. Bill is getting what goes around comes around. He stabbed Hillary in the back and I am no Hillary supporter. I even wrote him to tell him how unnecessary that was at that time and how in the long run he would regret doing that. I bet at this point he feels pretty much all alone since he has managed to anger both the Clinton team and now the Obama team. Wow, good job Bill.

Since Obama wants Leon Panetta to run the CIA (a post for which he is unqualified and should be rejected), perhaps he should slide him into the now vacant Commerce Secretary slot (a post for which he may actually be QUALIFIED for through his prior experience) since Bill Richardson has taken himself out of that post. I've never heard of Ms.Sebelius-- that makes her appointment to ANYTHING a problem. What would qualify her to run anything like Commerce? (or even the CIA???) Just wondering.

And BTW, I didn't support Sarah Palin for VP-- because she was UNQUALIFIED by her past experience (which is even LESS QUALIFIED than our President Elect's experience)....

Bonnie---you've got to be kidding. One word sums up my feelings on Sebelius---ick!!! You're right, she's boring....but it's much worse than that. Outside of media people like yourself and a few people in mid-America, Sebelius is an unknown quantity to the vast majority of the country. Given what's already gone on with the Illinois Senate seat and now Richardson, Obama needs to appoint someone to the Commerce post who has solid credentials and inspires confidence. Sebelius has neither solid economic and international trade credentials, nor does she inspire confidence in a wide enough swath of America. And, while it may not be a fair comment, the last thing we need in Obama's cabinet for conservatives to pick on incessantly after Janet Napolitano is ANOTHER female governor with a narrow band of experience.

As a woman I find it demeaning to be told I should support anyone "because she is a woman." How about because "this is the right person for the job"?

He was trying to help YOU as a journalist. Sorry you can't recognize that even now.

This is the nation's loss, truly it is. Maybe he is keeping his 'powder dry,' so to speak, in case Hillary botches the SoS job. He will be cleared in this grand jury investigation, make no mistake....remember the missing discs from LOS ALAMOS that cost him the VP slot about 5 years ago, and how they turned up mysteriously behind the Xerox machine a few days after the gravitas passed? I think this is the same kind of deal, a raw deal, for a good Governor who will be great in some position down the line.

Governor Sebelius is a bad choice and Ms. Erbe cannot be a Catholic and definitely is not a Christian with her beleifs. She has obviously never read the bible or if she has she is ignoring it completely.

Her views are not consistent with the teachings of Christ or of God and her opinion here is more of the same simple mindedness.

I can't beleive I wasted my time reading it.

Well Bonnie, it’s the new year and I see you’re still beating the same feminist drum.

You’re swingin’ for a “two-fer” this time. You want Governor Sebelius to slide into the Richardson spot. She’s a “feminist” since she passes the “True Feminist Membership Requirements”:

1. Female.

2. Hate tradition and conservatives.

3. Is pro-abortion.

And, she gets bonus points for ignoring the teachings of her chosen religion, The Catholic Church - which of course, pleases Ms. Erbe.

Archbishop Naumann, her Bishop, privately communicated to her that she is not eligible for the Sacrament of Holy Communion since she supports the killing of the unborn - A position which puts her “outside” the Church and its teachings. Governor Sebelius ignored her Bishop’s admonitions and continued to present herself for Communion. Ultimately the Bishop had to publicly ban her from the alter rail.

I note that Ms. Sebelius has every right to “religion shop” for some faith that endorses the killing of the unborn, but unfortunately for her, The Catholic Church is not on that ever lengthening list. And, never will be.

Governor Sebelius is still calling herself Catholic as do the likes of Biden, Pelosi, Kennedy etc.. But you know, I had an uncle who called himself Captain Zitron of the United Space Patrol and often spoke to his Star Fleet at the kitchen table, over coffee and cigarettes, at three a.m..

My uncle was as mad as a hatter, unfortunately Governor Sebelius, and the other phony Catholics, don’t qualify as being nuts... They’re just your everyday, run of the mill, superficial, egotistical hypocrites - spewing out whatever self serving slop they think will get them reelected.

I was surprised that Gov. Sebelius was not on his short list for Vice President. I do agree that she should be given strong consideration for a Cabinet position, but not because she is a female and I would not necessarily replace Bill Richardson in doing so.

Are you kidding adding this Catholic radical to the Obama administration.

You must have bumped your head.
