George W. Bush, 9/11, Iraq, Katrina—How Did We Go So Wrong?

Obviously, this was written by a democrat.

No, 9/11 was not ignored, that is false information. Once George Bush heard about the 9/11 attack, the terrorist group was tracked down in less than 30 minutes. There has been hurricanes as bad as Katrina throughout other presidents times, and no president can really do anything about them happening.

At least when you're writing a paper, get the facts right.

Put simply:

Republicans hate EVERYTHING Democrats stand for. We have relatives who are Republicans. They tell us all the time that poor people are lazy. They tell us that poor people are poor because they have no gumption to make a change for the better. They tell us that poor people are the reason the economy is in the craphouse.

You see, Republicans would rather put Mickey Mouse in the White house (twice) rather than an intelligent person like Barack Obama. Why? They despise intelligence. They despise blacks. To this very day, the weeper-of-the-house (Boner) and everyone else on FOX SNOOSE still mispronounce the very simple word "nuclear." The state of Florida is so backwards, its no wonder they voted for Bush twice. Republicans despise democrats, period. There is no "getting together" with them. There never will be peace between the two parties. Its the North and the South all over again- history repeating itself. If you noticed, whenever a Republican gets caught in a lie or a question they can't answer.., they always resort to a sudden outburst of laughter. To me, those people are aliens. They are not normal. They are non-empaths. All they care about is themselves, their bank accounts and their Mercedes-Benz's and Hum-V's.

And Jesus is watching.

They day of reporting to the Almighty Power--none of us get to avoid. And their is a nice toasty place reserved just for those non-empths.

What's their to discuss?

If YOU had to sit on a roof-top for days and days without food, water or medicine and no one in the federal government came to your aid.., how would you feel about BUSH and his Republican buds? That is--if you survived.

Barbara Bush got on national TV and said (regarding the New Orleans trapped people on roof-tops and inside the super-dome), "this is good for them". Good for them? What nerve! Thats a typical Republican for you. She's also responsible for raising the "C" average college partying frat-boy George W. who dodged service in Vietnam (along with the Dick Cheney). By the way. Mr. Cheney said, when asked why he did not serve- "I had other things to do". Other things to do? Thats a Republican for you. They have no problem starting unnecessary unfunded wars and sending "YOU" off to become a KIA..., but "THEY" sure as hell will not take the risk.

Thanks to Bush and Cheney-

1) The United States is now the closest ever to another full blown 1929 depression.

2) Republicans spend like drunken sailors on unnecessary wars-then they blame democrats for taxing & spending.

3) Republicans talk about shrinking government- then they shove a brand new government entity like the Homeland Security Department down our throats along with a bogus 911 Bill which takes away your privacy rights overnight.

4) Republicans hate education. They want the Department of Education shut down. Their motto? "Keep them like mushrooms. Low to the ground, in the dark and peed on.

5) Republicans hate Regulation: They'd rather have chaos and ineffectual do nothing departments as long it will allow their corporate buds to line their pockets off the backs of hard-working middle and lower class Americans. The rich get richer- and pay no taxes, while the poor get poorer and get burned for a typo on their 1040 form. No taxes mean no roads, highways and bridges. No regulation mean you pay the fire department out of your own pocket when your house is on fire. No regulation means you pay the police to come to your house to fill out a report after you've been mugged. No regulation means you get no Social Security or VA benefits. No regulation means there are no more traffic lights or stop signs on the highways-(wouldn't that be interesting)?

Republicans come up with so many non-issues, especially during an election cycle, they're too numerous to mention.

6) Republicans would be pleased-as-punch to do away with Social Security, Medicare and VA Benefits the middle class need to survive. Yeah. We know. Its all those damn poor people bringing this country down- not the wealthy and the rich corporations and the undeserved out-of-control exorbitant CEO salaries they receive.

Get me past the Multi-trillion dollar deficit caused by an unprovoked and undeclared war created by Bush including all Dick Cheney's private contractor buds and his own KBR company that made huge profits off that war. Then... maybe... we can have an intelligent discussion about the real issues this country faces. And it ain't Baracks fault. He inherited this Republican mess!

CK of FL 2:07PM August 05, 2011

What are you conserving besides your own wallets?

Who was in charge of Security at the WTC in 1993? Neil Bush- thats who.

And who is responsible for a multi-billion dollar debt that Barack now has to deal with today? George Bush- thats who.

Get me past the fact that Bush started a muti-billion dollar unprovoked war in a far off country in the middle-east and, for the first time in American history, a war being fought on credit.

Don't even begin to blame Barack. President Obama has host of issues of his plate, thanks to all you conservatives. All Republicans care about is war. They love war. It makes money for them and their corporate buds. War and fighting and sending our troops off to battle to be killed while all the time shouting rah-rah USA is what they love.

I'm so glad you realize too just how horrible of a President Bush was.. I believe Republicans are so brain-washed they don't even know what bad is..He did nothing good for our country except get us in such debt that who knows when we will recover.. And then the Republicans are after Obama for not getting anything done in a year.. Heck Bush didn't do anything good in 8 years so give him a break.. To me Republicans are just a bunch of snobs and I can hardly stand listening to any of them.. Especially Rush Limbaugh.. Oh, my God that guy makes me ill.. He doesn't know crap and only wants to talk to those who believe what he says.. YUK.. What a creep.. And, then there's Fox news.. Most of those aren't tolerable or smart either and most never even went to college as I understand..Thanks you for your article.. Finally someone I found who has a brain..

Bush is responsible for a hurricane? He caused global warming? Get real woman!

Hurricanes are caused by mother nature. The failed response was perpetuated from the local level, through the state level way before the federal response was even asked for! It's the state's responsibility FIRST! Mayor "what buses" Negan should be in jail! Leave it to LA to reelect him! Maybe it happened because no one was left!

Global warming? There IS NO GLOBAL WARMING! Latest report released this week shows arctic sea ice at 1978 levels! There are 5x as many polar bears now than back then too! Like the ozone hole scare, this is just conjured up to allow governments to tax us! That's all Keyoto was about! Taxes! Countries paying carbon taxes! Unless you are China that is! They are the worlds worst polluters by the way!

"The threat of 9/11 ignored"? HUH? What has happened since then that I missed? Have we been attacked? Didn't we liberate Afghanistan from those thugs? Yeh we will be mopping up for a while but the few that are left are NO THREAT! The rise of Iran? What have they done to "rise" beside talk a lot of BS? The UN is doing the same job keeping them from building nukes as they did with Saddam. And speaking of Saddam....

Iraq wasn't hyped, the UN BLEW IT by letting Saddam off the hook with 17 toothless resolutions! Bush did the right thing by not waiting any longer for the UN and ousting him! History will bare that out! Don't forget all the people cheering in the streets after we drove Saddam quite literally, into a hole in the ground! Shredded civil rights? Oh! You mean the international wire tapping? That's a far cry from what the military sensors did in WWII! You have the historical perspective of a flea! Guantánamo and Abu Ghraib? I could care less! Funny how no country wants to take these bastards huh? I know the families of the 3000 people killed on 911 would love a few minutes alone with these guys! I know I would and I never lost a loved one!

Lest you think Obama will be a change, he's already lining up all the old Clinton zombies and those were the people that pissed off the Muslims enough to attack us in the first place! Bush was only in office for less that 8 months when we were attacked FOR THE SECOND TIME! The first time was in 1993 when they tried to blow up the trade center from the basement! Why didn't Clinton get Osama then? He had 3 chances where he was practically handed to him! Or have you forgotten?

During the Civil War, there were plenty of people that blamed Lincoln for the whole mess, just as people today blame bush for the problems of today. Look how history holds Lincoln to such high regard. Come back in 20 or 50 years and tell me how you see Bush! If you are around then, I'll look you up!

Tim of FL 12:12AM January 07, 2009

I warned everyone to not vote for George W. Bush. Unfortunately there appears to have been some voting irregularities: a lot of people voted for Bush twice! Well, we told you so.

God I hate that sanctimonious Republican CRAP! Someone please tell me, do they all listen to the same lousy broken record?

JBISHOP of UT 1:41PM January 06, 2009

This has to be one of the worst written pieces of trash I have ever read. How does Bonnie Erbe keep a job after writing such junk. The US is safer because of Bush. Clinton refused to do anything and the terrorists kept attacking. Guatonamo is a POW camp. Do you not understand what will happen if you let the terrorists go? How is hurricane Katrina the fault of Bush. The sorry excuse for a mayor and governor wouldn't do anything. I didn't see Iowa begging for help when they were flooded. I guess they were smart enough to help themselves. "The shredding of civil liberties" I believe you are refering to is about the wire tapping. This was approved by the house and senate majority and minority leaders as well as Bush and Cheney. They all agreed unanimously not to vote on it in the house and senate. So that is Bushes fault?

"The rise of Iran" What do you want Bush to do? If he goes after a dictator, he gets hammered on by the press. If he uses diplomacy, he still gets hammered on by the press. What do you want?

"Global warming" is the biggest scam of all time. There is no scientific evidence that supports this. Look at where a lot of the weather stations are that record temperature. They are in town around concrete. In the last two years the temp has been going down, not up. More evidence points to a normal cycle. But one can't blame a Republican on that.

The economic disaster was caused in part by Dem policy. Clinton and Carter both encouraged lending to minorities that are not able to pay back the loans. It shouldn't take a econ. major to figure out the problem there.

Obama is surrounded by coruption. He still won't show his birth cirtificate. What is he hiding? Talk about ignoring the constitution. What about the gun laws he wants to pass. More ignoring of the constitution. H. Clinton is not allowed to take the Sec of State job per the constitution, but is anyone in the press saying anything about that? Biden doesn't even know the duties of a vice press. He proved that on a debate.

It is funny how you mentioned Germany in you article. Obama's rise to power greatly resembles Hitler's.

cb of NE 11:23PM January 05, 2009

Dear Miss Ginsburg,

It's rather funny. I remember you from your days in Tampa (WTVT, as I recall). And you know what? I rather liked you then when you REPORTED the news. That was then; this is now.

That must've been one big batch of Kool-Aid that you whipped up.

Yeah, I blame Bush for "global warming" (whatever you liberals are using to define it this week). I didn't realize that the internal combustion engine was invented in 2000. Thanks for enlightening me! And Iran? Yeah, Bush gave birth to "Iminnneedofjihad", didn't he? That pathetic little thug dictator was born in January 2001, too, wasn't he? And the economy? Have you ever heard of the Community Reinvestment Act? How about Jamie Gorelick? Franklin Raines? Need more names? Let's see...Guantanamo. Hmmm. I've got an idea...let's let all of the terrorists loose. Yeah. That's the ticket.

And I've been trying my darndest to find one solitary individual who has had his or her civil liberties "shredded". No one that I know and certainly not mine.

And you say that Bush ignored the threat of 9/11? And exactly WHO ignored the first attack on the WTC? and who had the opportunity to take Bin Laden out but did not? And the threat of Iraq "hyped"? By whom? Bush? How about Hillary Clinton? SHE voted to take Hussein out.

You, like the rest of the Obama Kool-Aid drinkers are delusional.
